York, PA - March 21st, 2010 - Classic Swap Meet

Someone find me a kickstart lever from a Yamaha triple - XS750 or the like. Apparantly a good fit for an XS650 with rearsets... I wanna ride my bike :)

Hey Tim, PM Chris aka: ccvsgod.
I recall he had a xs750 tripple at the shop last year that was a parts bike. Tony had brought it back to him.. Motor was siezed. He might still have it. He is in the Oakwood & Davenport area...

Any Pictures or anything??? How was it? My parents were in town for the weekend so I had to entertain them all weekend. I cant wait for them to go Senile so I can just put them in front of a pad of paper and some crayons to entertain them lol...

We go there about 10:30 and spent about 45 minutes looking around. Didn't see any DTT members.

IMHO you didn't miss anything. Some Harley stuff, mostly British, a few Japanese nothing that really caught my eye. I might have missed a treasure or two if I wanted to spend the time and sort through boxes of misc. bits and pieces.

Anyone else show up?

Scott

no pics, but , 4 or 5 of us were there from 8 til 10, then came back after lunch, to do the closing up deals, prices were a little high in the morning, afternoon was better,
best deal was a brand new re built 350 engine $350,we had to walk away from that, too tempting,
i bought back mostly tools, a kenedy tool box, and a great rolling mechanic stool from the 40s, $15,nos gt grips blk $12,full face vintage helmet $ 5,
kemp got a set of nos hooker mufflers for $30,piston rings
mike got nos tommaselli headlight ears $30,
jackie got nos gt grips$12

lots of digging to get in the mood for sure, but it was real nice to get out of town ,great weather,
sorry we missed you,
met up with go and von yizzer he drove in from Pittsburgh over night,
real nice guys,
we'll try for mid ohio this summer,

It was nice meeting you guys! Sorry we didnt get a chance to hang out with everyone more. There was some cool stuff, but it was pricey. I could only hang out in the AM as I had to get back to my side of the state that night. Those rebuilt 350 motors were VERY tempting. Couldnt swing it though. I look forward to running into you guys again!

Well I went to PA, but not York ;) I went to Erie and bought a Suzuki GT750 4LS front drum hub with new brake shoes, new Buchanan stainless spokes/nipples, Borrani rim, NOS cables and the brake lever ;) Now my cafe racer will have the front drum brake it deserves!

Well let's not be overly optimistic. What is that, 48 hours from now? Sheeesh. Give a guy a chance. April 1 is the 3 year deadline. Still have a week or so left.

3 yrs??.. wow.. was it 3 years ago that we lugged that thing to your place in a homeDepot van??

I took my youngest. He loved it. I bought him a couple of motorcycle toys and picked up a nice riding jacket ($20 brand new) for my daughter.

It's a good thing I didn't have any real money to spend. I liked the Triumph Daytona 500 project bike for $750 obo.

Pax likes the vintage stuff!
