Hi, just wondering if anyone can explain how things need to be lined up for valve adjustments on my 81 cb650.

Ok, so I tried switching plugs, wires, and resistor caps between cylinders and nothing changed. Cylinder 3 is still the problem. Any recommendations for what I should try next? Check valves maybe? If it's a carb issue, what would it likely be? I appreciate any help in advance.

I love the frame - the rear triangle is super cool. And I second the previous comment about the paint and the hub.

Yeah I tried that. I'm totally stumped, so I'm just going to replace the master cylinder and hope that solves my problem.

I just love that you can do all that without dropping the motor. That is a luxury that's unique to BMW's (and I guess some Moto Guzzi's too)

I'm not seeing any bubbles. I'm thinking it's a master cylinder issue. I've bled lots of brakes before and this is the first time I've had this problem, so I'm assuming there has got to be something wrong with it.

Ok I have tried everything except the vacuum bleeder, and have had zero success. Now I'm just trying to decide whether I want to buy a vacuum bleeder or a new master cylinder. Tough choice.

I think this thread has strayed slightly from anything relating to "doing the ton."
