    Seat/Frame work

Alright, thanks for the help guys. I'll just cut it and weld in a small piece when I weld on brackets to mount the rear sets as well.

    Seat/Frame work

Hey guys, Quick question. I just finished cutting most of the unnecessary thing off the frame, but had a question: The rear part of the CB350 frame, where the seat hinge connected, do I need this section at all to attach to the new seat, or can I cut this off behind the mounting point for the...

    Beginner Builder Help Post #2

Sweet, thanks. I think I'll order a set of his rearsets when he gets more ready to go. I already cut off the passenger footpegs, so I'll just weld a new mount up in about the same spot then. Probably wait to get the pegs so I know where I need it to be wouldn't you say?

    Beginner Builder Help Post #2

Thanks for the picture. That looks pretty good. I searched for that user name to contact him about the footpegs, but his name wasn't found. Was is misspelled, or something. Thanks for the info.

    Beginner Builder Help Post #2

I cut the mount off. I need to weld a piece of half pipe on the bottom of the frame on that side, as there is a small hole in the frame, to strengthen it. I'm not sure as to what will be comfortable, as the bike is down to the bare frame. I was hoping someone about my height had installed rear...

    Beginner Builder Help Post #2

Hey guys, got a couple quick questions: 1. When I cut all unnecessary parts off of the bike this last week, both the center stand and the kickstand were cut off; the center stand because I didn't want it, and the kick stand because it was old and rusty. Question is, what's the easiest way to...

    CB350 Engine Rebuild

I don't know if it was ever doing anything wrong. I bought it in non running condition. The internals weren't locked up or anything, as the kick pedal still rotated, but there was no exhaust attached. The motor is out of the frame now. I'm hoping to just pull it apart and replace all the gaskets...

    Vintage NOS Shocks

Saw these on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370510874548 Are they worth it, or should I pass? Am I just getting ripped off, and would be better off buying OEM parts from the dealer?

    CB350 Engine Rebuild

About to start on this portion of the project soon... Will I just need a gasket kit? The bike only has 6500 original miles on it, so I'm assuming all the internals should be alright. This is the first bike engine I've ever worked on alone, so I'm just wanting to make sure.

I Fudged my frame. Help please!

I was thinking since the kickstand is on that side anyways, I could weld a second piece of pipe cut in half lengthwise on top of the frame to mount the kickstand to, that way I'd have a little more metal to work with. Does that sound legit, or no?

I Fudged my frame. Help please!

Hey guys, I spent the last weekend grinding off a bunch of parts not needed before painting (passenger pegs, center stand, kick stand, rider pegs, etc) and when I was cutting off the left rider peg, I hit the bracket with a hammer to knock it off, but when I did, the weld came off with a little...

    Beginner Builder Help!! Please!?

Thanks, I'll try the steel wool trick. I had thought about it, but wasn't sure if it would just be work spent better elsewhere or not. Normally, the foot pegs just unbolt. ;-P The genius who owned this before me apparently decided to strip a thread or two, and just welded the footpegs on. I'm...

    Beginner Builder Help!! Please!?

Thanks for the help. So would I be able to cut a steel plate and cover the spot the starter used to occupy as well then if I remove the battery and such?

    Beginner Builder Help!! Please!?

Hey guys. Haven't logged on in a while, been busy with finals weeks and such, but now that classes are over, I have the spare time to start digging into my CB350 project. But, I've got a few questions. The first picture (labeled Pic1, I guess) shows what I started with. Pic2 shows what I got...

    Different Wheels for a CB...

Hey, does anyone know if there are any wheels from other Hondas that will work on a '72 CB350? I'd like to use disc brakes and wheels that aren't spoked, but I'm not sure if it's just a swap in/swap out type deal. Thanks in advance for any info.
