Love the gold rims with the tank! Nice details on the hubs too. What color is the seat pan going to be?

Thanks for the nice words. Haven't decided on a color combo yet. Originally, I was going to paint the frame a Honda motocross color of red with a red tank and silver inset, but now am thinking about gold and something else. It will come to me when the paint is in the gun.
Right now all I have is the original shocks and thought about painting them black with a gold spring, but may go with Hagon if there is no compression or rebound left in them. Will know when I take them apart.

The four mounting holes for the rear sprocket were too large on the Parts Unlimited sprocket I ordered. No way it would have worked, so last night I made some bushings on the lathe. I have one of the four pressed in. I started cutting down the front fender I made on the english wheel a couple of months ago. I narrowed it up and need to get back to my friend with the wheel to fine tune the radius. Off work till Monday days, so hopefully get that done this weekend. I'll get some pictures of it when I have access to the wheel.

Its been a good Saturday so far. I lightened up the stock ignition switch bracket with holes and then used the counter sink bit. I made it over to my friend with the english wheel and brought my chassis with me. I finished the front fender. Nice to have the bike there to get the correct radius. And last night, I finished pressing in the bushings I made for the rear sprocket holes. Hope to bite the bullet and drill the holes in the fender and get it mounted yet today.

Last night, I sanded out the fender and polished it on the buffing wheel. It looks pretty good. When I finished shaping it on the english wheel, it became wider again from stretching the aluminum. I may try narrowing it again with band saw and not putting it back on the english wheel. I'm liking how it looks though. This picture is the fender sitting on the tire with no fender bracket.

I love the use of the mesh behind the holes. I planned on doing something similar to mine when the time came. Mind if I ask how you're keeping the mesh on the hub? Tack weld maybe? Thanks.

Hey, I ended up using JB Weld. I cut the screen out to shape, put the JB down, then the screen, then JB on top of the screen which contacted through the screen to the first layer of JB. I did one at a time and weighted it to keep it down. Let set about a half a day per screen. Hope this helps. It looks like its really bonded well and would try it on the next one.

This thing is getting some beautiful details. Keep up the good work man, can't wait to see it finished. Looks like a bike of the month contender for sure.

thanks for the nice words. i am having a lot of fun working on it.

I cut the center out of the sprocket guard on the lathe. Don't have to look at the anymore. I got the front fender cut down yesterday and hope to actually get it mounted this weekend ( I've said that before). And I found my notes for ordering exhaust tubing, collector, and bends out of Cone Engineering, which I hope to do today.

Sprocket looks great!! Where' you get that?
thanks, came out of Dennis Kirk, It a Parts Unlimited brand. Big pain in the butt to get it to work (see earlier posts), but got me two teeth smaller, which was what i was looking for

Decided to start making some clip-on's last night. I got the collars made and picked up some allen bolts today. I'm going the make the barrel for the bolts tonight and hopefully weld them on and make the slit in them.

i got the barrels made for the pinch bolts made and welded on. I slit them with a cut off wheel. Have to find some junk handle bars to get a couple pieces of 7/8" tubing to cope out. Might have to wait till Wednesday

i have just gotten a welder and made some bars on my own but i have never actually seen homemade clip ons.
seeing as how i am new to this melting metal thing i wanted to see someone else do it before i tried, so thanks man.

looking forward to it.

while i am posting i saw before but cant find the rim color, is it VHT gold engine enamel?
looks great

the rims are actually anodized aluminum. I ordered them off of Ebay direct from Bangkok, Thailand. The clip on clamps were fun to do. Couldn't fnd any pipe or tubing to get a 31mm I.D. , so I had to start with some solid stock on the lathe. The cross barrels I made out of a 7/16" bolt on the lathe.
