Haha ikr! I'm not really familiar with the anatomy of a braking system. If it's all gunked up in the res will it be like that inside the caliper and lines? I had a hell of a time putting that caliper back together. Couldn't keep the pads separated. I'm pretty sure I did it incorrectly lolDesmoBro said:Holy shit ........U could roll a pack of butts with that front Res...... My guess is youll need the rebuild kit with new seals....
Yeah I definitely didn't have it completely apart the other nightDesmoBro said:Taking the master apart is the hard part especially when its as bad as yours is ....once its apart there is a few seals on the piston to be replaced and then a good clean up some rebuild kits come with a new piston too sometimes you can find an entire master for less/same price as the kit
might have to research upgrading to another brake that will fit my stock set-up. Haven't looked at the cost of all the options...

going to try and get it fired up before I leave. Oh yeah, lost the oil drain plug....I may! let me check again when I get home. I'll let you know!DesmoBro said:I may have that drain plug on my parts motor....anything else motor wise u might need? I could put together a care package
waiting on funds Friday and Saturday. had to expense way more than I thought... Until then I'm trying to rig this throttle cable to work. The ends that fit into the slide are way too big. I'm going to dremel them down to look more like the universal ends lol here are some pics from Vegas. Tore my ac joint the night before we left Dallas
I should have two clamps for each carb, going to Lowe's soon. The fuel hoses are leaking from where they connect to the carbs so I a small clamp there as well.DesmoBro said:Is it me or do those carbs look set up wrong? The hoses and clamps are all over the place...must be the hang over....
DesmoBro said:Whats the hose coming out of the bottom of the bowls doing? I dont think you need a hose there unless those carbs are special like the olympics.....in the third picture down it looks like the fuel inlet for the carb has no line on it.....
Well I feel like an idiot. The hoses were attached at the "overflow" hole there in the bottom when I first got the carbs... No wonder my start-up was a fail. Perfect. Round two tonight.Duchat said:![]()
I think that's where your fuel line attaches, not the bottom. Usually the bottom is just an overflow.
It's a good thing you make mistakes because the rest of us don't, like when I wired my pamco backwards so right fired on left etc...RoseyVelt said:Well I feel like an idiot. smoke coming out of the chain cover on left side. There's a small set if wires going to the "stator"? Afraid to do anything else now. You think this might work? Not sure how different the csr is. Sorry I've been MIA. Just hunting for the new starter.DesmoBro said:I also fried one starter so far they are expensive online so try and grab one at the salvage place if you can also an 83 kz305 starter doesnt bolt right on but if you have about 30 washers you can make it work!
