Anyone also into vintage cars?

I've gotten out of old cars right now. I used to have a small collection of BMWs, but when I moved I had to get rid of them. I'm strictly bikes now. My current "vintage" cars are a '94 Miata R and an '87 Civic Si. My bike hauler is an '05 Element.

I've worked for these folks since '94... Grassroots Motorsports & Classic Motorsports.

I am, I dont currently have one on the road though. I sold the last one to fund another. I seem to spend more time building for others than on for myself.

that hood scoop works really well on the 1966 charger. i always prefered the 1968 charger, but the hood scoop balances the fastback of the '66 real nice. funny how subtle aesthetics can be.

the flames on the pontiac remind me of the flames on these two bratstyle bikes:

http://www.bratstyle.com/custom/sr510%20sirai/sr510%20sirai.htm

i like the the flames on the brat bikes cause they're simple and look like they're spilling out of the gas cap. but i never had enough guts to do anything similar myself. :P

I love the trucks especially the 36 chevy. I also like the 914 I just read a article in Antique auto magazine about that car. Nevermind I just rechecked the article it was a 914-6 only made for 2 years but looks just like yours. Anyway here is a pic of what takes up all my garage space.

Ahhh.. the 442 Hurst Olds... Does it have the lightning shifter rods in it?
I love that car.
I actually built, (in my car days) an 88 cutlas 302 into this beast for my wife:

Started life as this junker:

Then to this:

Eventually lowered the back end as well:

It's just a 442 not a H/O so it doesn't have the L-rods. But I would love to install a set if they didn't cost so much. Nice Cutlass. I love painting chrome pieces black. Polishing is so overrated.

I used to be into old cars, I started out that way. I had a '68 chevy belair with a straight 6, a '87 grand prix with a v8 and t-tops and an '86 shelby charger with a turbo 4. time space and money has refocused my hobby towards bikes but maybe one day I'll have enough to do both.

What condition? Broken!? I haven't been able to lift a finger on Sixty-Nine or Squid for the last couple of months because I can't get out from under the damn truck... but yeah I love it too.

I am currently looking into either getting a beetle or Karmann Ghia down in Mexico, I will going down there in Feb. to celebrate my Grandma's 100th b-day.

I've got a 36 Chevy truck sitting in my shop storage waiting for attention....someday.
I'm looking for a decent VW Bug to build a Volksrod from too.....

That truck is sick. It's perfect. I wouldn't have changed a thing... the paint/patina is brilliant!

beetle vs ferrari is sick nasty.

my pops put an old inline 6 from a porche in a ghia...or it could have been a inline 6 from a ford falcon? i know it had a turbocharger and such.... i remember it when i was smaller. it was painted that burgundy primer color. we used to take it up to the strip in great lakes in wisconsin.... man that thing was fast. it would annihilate sports cars like nobodys business

While I don't have one, perhaps one day I will. One of my fave cars of all times is the Falcon (brewtown16 made me think about it again).

Mine would need to be black ;)

now i just keep to bikes since my mortgage eats all spare money within a mile of my house ;D

Damn you guys have some nice rides...

I'm especially liking all the car/truck's you guys have... i.e. the ranchero and the ute.
Always been a fan of the VW trucks and single-cabs as well... I'm pretty sure someone on here has or had a VW single cab that was pretty amazing.
