Carbs dumping fuel.

Finally got my new starter . And vwala, the bike started. Ran very loud and I adjusted the idle screw and now she is purring ..... For a bit. Then after a minute of so of that the right carb bleed line starts spilling out fuel. Any ideas? Thanks

Do you mean the overflow tube? Could be a few things: incorrect float height, stuck float, bit a dirt between float needle and seat, cracked overflow tube, drain screw not seated correctly.

Overflow tube, correct. The drain screw is this correct? Or no? Thanks for the reply sorry for the pic quality.

Same thing on my GN, turned out to be a pinhole in the float. (So it was sinking in the gas and not pushing the needle into the seat properly)

Your pointing at fuel mixture screw.
Drain is to lower right
Fuel coming out from the other screw is a problem. Have you had a shop 'clean' carbs?

Sorry, realize I was pointing to the mixture screw now. I drained the other side as you described. No one has touched the carbs but me. And I haven't changed a thing. The overflow line from the left carb is loosing fuel. If I said right earlier I made a mistake so the line on the same side as the drain screw.
DEEK does this sound the same now? If so could it just be the float ? Thanks a million gentlemen.

I don't think you'll really know until you take the bowl off. Whatever it is, its usually a pretty easy and cheap fix. To find out if its anything in the bowl (i.e. cracked overflow tube, drain screw problems) you can fill up the bowl while you have it off the bike and see if it leaks any. If that turns out ok, turn your attention to the float and the needle and seat.

First of all, have you had the carbs off the bike? Cleaned them thoroughly and blown out the passages with compressed air?

Flushed the tank and fuel lines of all crap? Running an inline filter?

If you haven't done this than you more than likely have a stuck open float valve from debris.

And are the carbs partially spray bombed?

Cleaned thoroughly? Maybe not perfect but I followed another forums process to clean them and to make sure the passages were clear. I felt confident with the work because I followed the instructions to a "T". Also I do Have a inline filter
A guy on hondatwins had me try this and it worked( at least from what I see now, no gas coming out of the overfill tube)

I drained the carbs. Retightened the drain bolt, while opening the petcock he had me tap the carbs with the handle of the screw driver in case the float needle was stuck..... It worked. Thanks for the help everyone. I don't just learn one thing everyday on here, I learn multiple things.

Are you kidding me? Haha, I'm going at this all blindly and this and Hondatwins are the only outlets for help and tips. Or are you being sarcastic... I honestly can't tell..

Sarcasm doesn't come across on interwebs ;D
Doubt if BertJan read the earlier posts?
You learned something, just be thankful you didn't sign up at Cafe Racer.net ;D
