So I pulled the right side cover to service the clutch and saw a small piece of aluminum in the bottom of the cover.
Turns out the stop for the kickstart spring return broke off. There is barely enough that it still functions but I don't trust it to last long. You can see in the picture where its still making contact.
I was thinking of drilling out a hole and inserting an aluminum dowel to function as the stop. But, I'm not sure how much force is applied by the spring return and wonder if it would bend the dowel.
Or should I quit whining and not worry about it?
