cb400f front end/dual disk upgrade - 75-77 GL1000

I'm using Katana front end on mine.. Race tech internals as well. I believe the triple yoke is a perfect match. I am using a CBRrr triple so I'm needing machine work.

My mind is divided between using parts from that era to get my dual disk set up or going with something more recent (R6 or Katana). I prefer a solution where I don't have to machine caliper mounts.

Katana triple has the same offsets as the 400F?

Not sure about the offset, but I'm using a bunch of different things but I will only need some spacers for the calipers, everything else should line right up

Keep in mind that if you use the early GL spoked wheel front end, that the wheel is much wider than the CBs. Its also alloy iirc so it won't match the stock steel rear. Easily fixable with an alloy rear hoop, but it is something to keep in mind.

on something as light as a cb400 it wont matter but the early gls had awful brakes

trying to stop a gl1000 tour bus in the rain would give you a religious experience
