How about a pic with it mounted. Joey, I have seen some inovative and creative work done on this bike, and I like it. Keep it up.

Brother Hot Rod Troy I took these photos for you!

Here are a few photos of the header and breather system bolted on the engine.

Dude, if that bike works you have my vote for DTT bike of the year.

Re: DWMS RACING CB550F SUPER REVERSE PORT! PRO STREET HARDTAIL!

Looking fantastic dude! I'm still waiting on seeing something on the seating arrangement though. Looks like it's going to be pretty aggressive...

Re: DWMS RACING CB550F SUPER REVERSE PORT! PRO STREET HARDTAIL!

Brother blue44067 I have not seen that bike! It is definately a hot rod!

Brother reelinfeele thank you for the kind words, just for you to say that is an honor!

Brother Deviant1 I will go ahead and build the seat frame so that you can see how it will sit but the actual seat and tail section are going to take me a while to build. You should ride over one day!

I decided to change the axle mounting area of the rear frame section so I cut a couple inches off of it and started boxing it in, I think it is going to look a lot cleaner and more streamlined this way. I also painted the center of the rear brake rotor while I had the rim off to do the framework.

I still need to do some more welding and smoothing but here are a couple photos.

Re: DWMS RACING CB550F SUPER REVERSE PORT! PRO STREET HARDTAIL!

so joey, is the frame going to get any more bracing? I may have missed any explanation, but it really looks like a small contact area between the rar of the frame and the engine cradle. It looks like that would be highly stressed.

Re: DWMS RACING CB550F SUPER REVERSE PORT! PRO STREET HARDTAIL!

Maybe just weld in some flat gussets above the "swingarm" area for strength?

they did an article on that bike on the Kneeslider. The kicker is actually the only way to start the bike, because it has no starter or charging system. Removed to make room for the motor.

Brothers that is what I was working on today, I am loading the photos now and I will post them in a few minutes

Brothers pawn and two-smoker that is what I started working on today! I built the right side plate out of quarter inch steel to add strength to the rear frame section, I am also using this plate to mount my footpeg and brake master cylinder on. I am going to build a matching plate for the left hand side but it will only have a footpeg on it.

Here are a few photos, the plate I added today is behind the kickstarter and below the rear frame section. The silver circle on the plate is where my footpeg will be mounted.

Can't really add more to the kudos but that machine is fast just sitting there.

Love the back end, really pulls it together.

Re: DWMS RACING CB550F SUPER REVERSE PORT! PRO STREET HARDTAIL!

Thank you Brothers!

I have known from the beginning of this build the style of tail section that I was going to build but I have been having difficulty designing a bottom line that flowed with the bike and left enough room for the exhaust. Dad came by last night and we came up with a nice line that I really like!

This will be the centerline for the tail section, I still need to build the outsides. I am going to recess the bottom of the tailsection so that the frame tubing fits up underneath of it and can not be seen so when looking at this photo the bottom of the tube will be the bottom of the tail.

I am also going to follow this line for the exhaust and I am no longer going to use the exhaust can that I shortened for this bike, I am now going to build a dual exhaust system that will exit underneath the rear of the tail section.

Here is a photo, the flat coming off of the rear of the tank will be a single seat and the angle at the rear will be a race tail.

Brother JRK5892 my Dad taught me everything I know, he will not always take credit for it but it is true. I love working with Dad and he still amazes me daily with his knowledge and vision.
