Re: DWMS RACING CB550F SUPER REVERSE PORT! TAIL SECTION PREVIEW!
Brothers you are all awesome, thank you for your kind words.
For my Brothers that have not seen them yet there are 11 build photos on page 50.
Here is the photo from the side that you asked for, it was getting late when I took it so the photo is a little dark. The tail section ended up being 24 inches long by 11 1/2 inches wide with a seat height of 25 1/2 inches.
This photo shows how clean the bottom of the tail section is, I cut a channel in the bottom of the tail section that the frame sits in so that it is hidden.
Re: DWMS RACING CB550F SUPER REVERSE PORT! TAIL SECTION PREVIEW!
Brothers I could never thank you all enough for your compliments and support on this build, it truly means more to me than you will ever know!
Brother Ringo I am going to stain it with the color Golden Oak, it is a light color and I think it looks really nice with woodburning.
Brother Swapmeet Louie I carved it out of wood, all of the build photos are on page 50, I am going to carve and woodburn it and then stain and clear it and run it on the bike!
I got my decals today! Everyone Brother Swapmeet Louie made these beautiful decals for the shop, they are so nice as soon as they got here I had to put some on my helmet! If anyone needs or would like to have any decals made Brother Louie is the man!
Re: DWMS RACING CB550F SUPER REVERSE PORT! TAIL SECTION PREVIEW!
It makes me proud to have so many supportive Brothers here, thank you all so much and I am very happy that you all like the tail section!
I filed on it some more yesterday and woodburned the outline of our race number seven on it, I am going to start on the exhaust while I decide what other designs I want to put on the tail.
Re: DWMS RACING CB550F SUPER REVERSE PORT! TAIL SECTION PREVIEW!
I built a really nice dual exhaust system that exited on the back of each side of the tail section however after I built it I thought that it looked cluttered and I really want to keep this bike as clean looking as possible so today I shortened the can that I had originally started with another inch and a half and mounted it right off of the end of the header with a upward angle that matches the rear of the tail section.
What do you all think? I am having a hard time deciding which way I want to build the rest of the exhaust.
