Engine mounts for CB350F

OLDN64

CB350F/CB400F Frankenstein
G'day guys,

Does anyone have the specs, in particular, the size of the front brackets for and engine mount on a '72 CB350F with a CB400F engine? I understand that they are the same brackets? If anyone has some schematic pictures/diagrams or just the measurements it would be most appreciated.

Cheers and beers.

I've got mine off the bike at the moment, I can trace them and measure and send you the image if that helps?

Mate, that would be absolute gold if you could do that for me.

Legend.

I would sure appreciate a copy too! I bought a 74 350F in pieces and I am about to put it back together. I need all the help I can get!

Here is the link too on Photobucket. I kept it on an A4 page for easy printing should anyone want to do that. If anyone is super stuck or the quality is crap I can email the JPEG too.

edit: may look upside down, have corrected this on Photobucket before posting, just taking a while to be visible in the post.

OLDN64, do you want my old mounts?

I have done custom ones in 3mm Alu and will probably be redoing them in 1/4 stainless (so don't need the stock items). Probably free as postage would only be the cost of a letter.

Neevo,

Absolutely mate. That would be gold.

Can I PM you for details?

No problemo! Just paying it forward as I have had a tonne of help and parts from individuals such as crazypj, bikeboy, big rich, kanticoy and swivel to name a few.

The least I can do to send some parts out.

I might be pushing the friendship, but do you know anything about CB400F wiring looms/harnesses?

I'm building mine from scratch, although I have wiring diagrams, I have never seen a loom, so knowing where I need to route wires is what is letting me down at the moment.

I noticed that you had asked some questions relating to wiring issues yourself and was wondering if you might be able to help me.

Do you have any pictures of your wiring loom? Or something to that effect?

Yeah no worries. I have a Haynes manual with a wiring diagram I can scan and also the loom off the bike I can photograph. How does that sound?

Perfect. I've got a diagram, but the pics would be an awesome help. Routing the wires is what I'm really struggling with.

Wow, building a harness from scratch without an old one to model off is tough. If you can find anything from any 4 cyl Honda 350-550 are pretty much identical, that would jump start your work and you'd probably pick up a few goodies like the rubber solenoid base and so on. Just a thought!

Sweet. Good advice mate, thanks.

I've been searching for a 400F loom to work off and it's been a nightmare. If the 350F - 550F's are at least similar, then either in between would give me something to work off.

Thanks again man.
