WAR DAMN EAGLE!!
Whats up guys! I'm fairly new to the site and have just been lurking for a bit now while I slowly started on my build. I've ridden for years, and always kept some sort of vintage scoot on the side to satisfy that urge. I dragged raced an 06 ZX10r for the last few years and after a close call one night I decided that it was time to move on to something else while my luck was still alive and well. Looked sport tourer-ish for a while but just having a bike that I rode then parked and really never would have a good reason to "tweak" with just wasn't going to work so I fell back on old faithful and drove 3 hours to pick up a CB750 and this CB360, both clean/clear titled and at different points of a frame up resto/customization. Prefering the smaller framed bikes the CB750 was sold to make room in the shop and finance the build. I had a good base to work off of when I started but I didn't want to just paint the bike and slap a cafe seat on. I wanted a true "one of a kind" bike. I have been meaning to start a build thread for a while now but between running my business and late nights in the shop it's slipped my mind. I'm lucky to have a brother that is a superb welder (and works for me!), a machinist friend, and a motorcycle mechanic genius buddy to help me when I hit a brick wall. Here are a few pics up until where I am now. Progress is going to be fast furious as I want her ready for Barber the first of October. I'll try to update as often as possible. Wish me luck and offer up any and all advise, I'm gonna need it!
Color scheme: Black and white with red accents. LOTS of powder coating and some killer paint!
Where I started:
Getting naked!
Motor on the bench and cleaned/cleaning
Painted
Tappet covers painted and reinstalled

Side Covers
Neck smoothed out, rewelded, and ground
I didn't like the way the 360 frame started sloping up around the back braces so we are leveling the frame rails all the way back. Here the rest of the frame is braced off and it is marked to cut.
After some cutting. Now you can really see the slope.
Seat pan template
Got the tank mounted in it's final position.
I'm using perforated aluminum as accents in various parts. This is a rough draft of the left side cover. It'll prob change some before a final draft.
I didn't get pics of the frame rails extended as we jumped right into forming the seat pan. I'll snap some once its pulled back off.
More to come....hopefully!
