Restoration of a 74 RD350

The arm with flames on it. Is battery powered. It has a electronic pickups that when I flex a muscle in my forearm. It activates the hand to open and close. When you open the hand completely. The pointing finger will twitch. Then you move the arm up,down, side by side or in and out. Each one of those slight movements will give you a different finger configuration. And yes one of the movements activates the middle finger.
I don't care how angry I was. If a guy with a prosthetic arm gave me the finger I'd laugh. I'm not sure if that's good or bad or evil or some other thing that would get me cancelled if I was famous but damn, that right there is funny to me. Funny in a 'more power to you can I buy you a beer" sort of way.

I have no idea why.

Just to let you see what your bike grew up into.

I haven't given anyone the finger in anger. Just to show them and I don't say anything beforehand.

That's a nice bike. What is the bike? They still didn't call it a RD350?
THAT! Is a 1990 RZ (ARGH! ZED, SON) 350N. The last year they were imported to Canada. Yamaha continued to make them in Brazil until 1994.

When the RZ350 YPVS was introduced to Canada, Yamaha Canada had one on display at the big bike show in Trawna; I purchased THAT bike in 1983. Also had (I think) four other RZs of various years as well as RDs ('79 Daytona-400, and '82 LC-350).

Here are a couple of photos you may enjoy (yes, I like(d) two strokes):

Those are some great looking bikes

The red and white ones were sold. Some arsehole stole the blue and white one. That bike was the best of the bunch. In 1994 I got a pristine NS400R. It was verry pretty, but no better than an RZ350. No photos of the Honda.

That's to bad about the bike being stolen.

I had the opportunity to purchase a nice rider quality RZ in Daytona a few years ago. I reluctantly passed and the owner parted it out a month or two later. I could have had it for $1200 running and titled. It parted out for around $4K.

That's funny (as in odd); I once purchased new barrels for my '86(?, '88?, '85? - can't remember which one) from a chap in Florida. I think it was the '86, because the donor bike was the same year and I know they weren't sold in the US.

You're telling me! Do you know what a Gamma is? Goggle them. Look for one for sale. Check out recent Fort-Nine videos.

Also, are there no mods or filters here? I tend to write/type as I speak and I noticed a long while after making that post that I used a much more harsh word than "arsehole"! :p

Anyone have a good concoction for a ultrasound cleaner? I just bought a 15L haven't opened it. So I don't know if it's big enough. I really just want for nuts and bolts, small brackets. Just saw a video on zinc plating. I think I need one of those also.

Just read about the 1990 RZ350. Sounds like a great bike. It was referred many times as the bike of a lifetime.
I also came across a Suzuki RG250 Gamma with a RZ350 motor. They guy called it a YamaGamma. I think it was a 86.

Anyone that would do that to a 250 Gamma should be shot. I had the RG500 Gamma. It was 250 better. The RG250 Gamma was a sweet bike but rare AF here and almost the cost of the 500. Do you know of the Aprilia RS250? That was the Suzuki RG250 engine in it.

For me, the bike of a lifetime was probably my RG500 Gamma, but like I said, some scum stole it. That was in a September, so I decided to wait until the next spring to purchase a replacement. Here's where it hurts: the next spring, the Walter Wolf Gammas were going for the same price as the normal Gamma, but I had just bought a house so I waited until the following spring after that! By then, there were none to be found. The stores were barren and the bike was not too popular here in the first place so Suzuki Canada didn't import too many.

A few years later I was married and found one just around the corner. Told the wife I was going to buy it, but it turns out the POS was pulling the old bait and switch on me; he kept showing me one pristine, all original bike, but was putting together a 'bitsa' Gamma from his parts and crashed race bikes. I told him to fuck off (actually, I was not that polite with him). There's more to the saga, but I shall let it end here for the tambourine.

I was confused, I thought the picture of the RZ350 was called the Gamma. After figuring out the which blue bike you were talking about. I did so more reading. You are right sweet bikes and rare.
That is what started the confusion. When I googled Yamaha Gamma RZ350. This option from Google, the YamaGama was what I thought my best option. While reading the article, it didn't take me long to figure things out. That's a whole era of bikes, I need to read about.

I saw that poster also.
Is that your aircraft?

Oh, God, no! Click on the link in the post. The chap has done quite a few:

Model A Hurricane.jpg

The Hurricane is my fave. That's the aeroplane that won the Battle of Britain.

That Yamaha bumf was not a poster. It was an ad that appeared in "Cycle Canada" back in the 80s. As a decades long subscriber, I remembered seeing it when I came across the image on the interweb years ago, and decided to save it. Brings back fond memories! (for one thing, I was not yet married). :)

Do they perform in the sky?We have a small airport near us. The practice area is above my house. Sometimes we get double wingers doing tricks and letting out trails of different colors. I am also 30 miles as the crow flies from Cape Canaveral. The Space Shuttle launches were unbelievable. The space x rockets launching now are ok. The launches are so regular now. I don't try to watch every single one.
