Hey you guys well here i am first time on a forum page and using technology that aint got a ratchet attached so stick with me cos these posts will be hit n miss (bit like the motor on my project bike ) . Ok ime over in England yorkshire its up north got great roads real twisty but ime a way off riding my 350 caferacer on them .Bought the Honda 350f 1972 from a used bike n parts dealer down south well 150 miles away thats a big distance over here haha it came from California originally wow so it aint got too much rust (plenty of dust) got it March this year started the strip down within days but broke off for the Isle Of Man TT gone every year for last 6 years get some inspiration from them guys plus i have a big old thumper of a Suzuki TL1000r v twin that needs a good thrap now n again hope to post some pictures of both if my techno knowledge will allow otherwise my wife gonna get involved but ime glad to be on board cheers guys be on again asap

Cheers mate guess my message aint just floatin round the cosmos haha trying to post more photos etc this aint spanners and sockets you all got to be" peed off "with me trying to string a link together but here goes the 350 is my first major restore /rebuild so ime full of ideas from tons of mags n pics just hope it dont end up OTT got a small workshop /garage two bikes max ya cant swing a cat thats for sure

Looks sweet fella , mine aint no way finished yet just putting back together wot fuel ya use i aint sure whether to use lead addatives or not plenty to choose from over here in UK hope to get it running before the real crappy weather turns up cheers mate

Looks great so far Yorkie, hope you love riding that little 4 as much as I did mine.
I wouldn't sweat the lead additive. Back in '73 the EPA mandated "No Lead" fuel here in the 'states and the automotive industry knew it was coming so began using Hardened seats. You should be fine. Now if I remember right, it did say run on premium, not the cheap low octane.
Here is a pic of mine, gone but not forgotten :(

hi fellas well yep done some bits n bobs over the xmas break will try put a thread together got a bit sorted with the seat pan will show pics later but its fastened with piano hinge so it opens into a tooltray and small storage space 8). Fitted the rearbrake linkage just gotta tweak a bit to stop kick start catching it agh :eek: also just about sorted lights apart from when headlight wired up when i first turn ignition on the horn SOUNDS ?? grounding prob ???well thats a start to my latest bit of tinkering heres a few pics to see what ya think :p

Hi fellas heres a bit more to the build i moved the front pegs welded a plate further back added a set of ali rearsets :) made a linkage to operate the stock rear drum brake also tried the side panels good fit to left side ;)may have to trim battery side or move the batt a bit cos there fouling each other :'( got my headlight back together will get some close up pics of seat need ya thoughts put a new batt on old batt had 13.70v new one the same but got more umff when using starter and better spark ?

Hi guys ive posted replys on different subjects along with thev odd pic but gonna put them in some order on this page to give ya some idea of how much a newb i am to this thing ;D started with a strip down got the bike without carbs told it had good compression that might still bite me in the arse

stripped her down painted the motor had to replace tappet covers swines to get off put motor back together maybe should have done something with the piston rings we can only wait n see now i put motor back into frame polished up the front forks rim / brake along with new tyre

got hold of a set of carbs altho they came off a 400f obviously bigger jets figure cos ime putting pods on it might even itself out ??? haha cleaned carbs up got them fit snug no vaccuum leaks ::) cleaned up the rear wheel., polishing each spoke was mind knumbing changed rear sprocket & polished up the drum brake

Had many ;D ideas bout the tank finally decided on a 400f is there a 400f pattern showing thru should have got a 400 haha best i could find had a few dinks bondo them out now prepped for topcoat oohh :eek: scary aint done any before another first time yet tho its too cold n damp at the mo . Came without so made side panels out of aliminium called a favour and got them chromed, nice 8)
