Lowering Fork in 1992 CB750 Nighthawk

You can also cut incrementally shorter lengths of PVC pipe to replace that spacer for test rides, no need to hack up a stock part.

Wanted: Vetter Windjammer mounting brackets for single downtubte frame.

I was wondering if anyone had a Vetter Windjammer mounting bracket for a single downtube frame. DOHC 450, 350, 360, SOHC 400/450, 200, 175, 185 etc. If you're nearby in New England and have a Windjammer to get rid of shoot me a PM. Please let me know what you have, what you're asking for it...

    CB250N with spoked rims?

The 250 Nighthawks we got in the states had the same 16/18 sizes as the alloys most of the rest of the world got, but front brake was a drum, fork lowers were different as well with no provision for brake caliper mount. PM me if you're interested in the parts needed. Honda Rebel CMX250 front...

    Paint, zinc or anodise

For rusty old spokes and nipples you can clean the rust and zinc off with plain old white vinegar, just soak until you can scrub them clean, might take a day or two. To protect them from rusting have a look at DIY zinc plating, there's a ton on the web to read but stick to forum posts for a...

Are there any axles out the that will help me with my dilemna?

You don't want to try and make a spacer that thin, go with different bearings for sure and use your original axle. You may need to ream or drill out the hole in your brake carrier, but that's pretty easy. Just hit the link in my sig-line and have a look at the document entitled: Japanese Bikes...

    Wheel Spacers etc.

Cool, sounds like an upper spacer I guess. Draw them up in MSpaint or something & save them as a Jpeg then email them along when you're ready. I'll get back to you with a quote. Also figure out what you want each one made of, I'm making my steering spacers of steel and my wheel spacers of...

DSMer with CM400, could get weird. oh, and hello

That's looking pretty good so far, I've got a CM400 project too but it's on the back burner until I finish my CB750K3 in the spring. Although I am figuring out what I want to do with it lately, I'm leaning towards drag bars, plastic fenders, some sort of seat that I can hide the battery and...

I've made a web page to warehouse my files, notes and utilities for fork and wheel swaps. It's mostly Honda so far, but that won't always be the case hopefully. Have a look and feel free to send me anything you feel should be included. http://sites.google.com/site/alansdocuments/ -Alan
