Is a 450 not capable of recharging a battery at idle?

I would much rather buy a new one but they do not offer one for my cb450. Am I missing something?

Not sure of other batteries, but Shorai lithium batteries dont like anything under 13v.

Bought a voltmeter to test everything. I read a few posts that sometimes these batteries do not work well with a points ignition system due to spikes. Dont know how true that is but maybe its time for a electronic ignition.
