Hi Nemo,
Unfortunately I haven't been able to work on it for a while since I'm not in the country where my bike is ATM. Will hopefully be able to start/finish it during spring! Will update you then :)
OK. Yeah it seems like in that part we've done the same :) The oil, neutral (-) and the turn signals to diodes.
I also believe that the LED:s might be the problem.. Guess I'll fix some new :).
It would be great if you had the original wiring diagram! I can only find the crappy ones. I might...
It did? NICE! Did you have a separate negative (-) to each cable(+), or as I, like only 3 or 4 (-) for all the (+)?
Asking since I still have a problem with the lights...
I believe that I have the problem since there are not enough negatives (-) and I guess I've fixed them at the wrong place..
Exactly. The signal lights light, and the turn signal indicator in the gauge lights but don't blink. Yes, I switched to LED lamps. Might that be the problem? What do you mean with an electronic blinker? So if I would put the old turn signals on now, it would work?
The neutral light did work on...
Bought some diods and now connected the two signal cables into 2 diods and connected it to the speedometer. Still, this doesn't work. Weird thing is that the backlight works on speedometer, as well as full headlight light on speedometer. The signal light on speedometer lights up but doesn't...
I've now used a multi-meter and checked the bat. (13V), the connection between the two terminals on the solenoid (13V). I've also used a screwdriver between the two terminals on the solenoid, created a spark (so it worked), but the bike didn't start. The solenoid doesn't click at all, and the...
The weird thing is that the solenoid hasn't been touched for at least 1yr. I wonder why the clicking started.
So you mean that the Voltage is to low from the bat? or is there a connection problem?
Ok. sounds fair. If the solenoid have failed. Is this something that have to be changed, or is it just a switch? Also, how would you recommend to shorting? Just use the screwdriver between the terminals as you said? Don't really see how.
Charged the bat. for about 20h. and it have 13 or something V. after charging. After this, the clicking continues. the start engine is not helping out at all. I can just hear the clicking, and this is just 1/3 of the times when I try. Either it clicks, or it's just silent..
I've checked the bat. and charged it for 20h. Also tried with boat bat. 12v. and doesn't work. So there is no problem with the bat. it should be the relay switch itself or something else?
Hi guys,
I've run into a bit of a problem. My bike won't start.
Yesterday I was out a while just cruising without any trouble. Later on I decided to change rear light and fix my fender. Everything was running smoothly and it still started after the rear light change.
As I started the bike a...
Have been thinking for some time and now I think I have decided to go with fiber glass instead of a metal pan. Mostly because it's easer to form it like the frame I have now. I'm thinking about glassing it as it is, having less foam in the back and more in the front to have the same level...
