1978 Suzuki GS400 Build - Help and advice is much appreciated!!!

+1 on testing with a new battery or just hooking it up to your car with jumpers WITHOUT turning the car on (don't want to fry anything), my KZ400 won't fire with dead battery even if I kick (it's fine with a low battery, just not totally dead).

    76 KZ400 Cafe

Bike looks great mudchicken, keeping it simple and clean for sure, I love the seat too. I love the looks of the '76 even more than my '79. The paint still looks fantastic, I'd say polish up those engine covers a bit and she'd be looking just how I want her (I also agree a frame hoop would be a...

1979 Kawasaki KZ400B2 (New pics from winter ride on page 6)

Re: 1979 Kawasaki KZ400B2 (Update: finally put some low bars/bar end mirrors on) Hey guys, it's been ages but I popped out on the KZ400 yesterday in this unseasonable weather we've been having. A little update is that unfortunately I didn't insure the KZ last season as it would have cost me...

Carb help - Carb Sync Tool in Toronto?

I have no experience with this bike in particular but any bike without airbox/filters will be running lean. I've heard that even pulling socks over the inlets will help a bit if you really don't want to put the airbox on and are planning on getting pods, but if you're planning on keeping that...

    How Much Header Wrap

Where'd you guys order from? I'm thinking about wrapping my KZ400 headers white oddly enough. I have an extra stock exhaust as well that is pretty rusted, thought about wrapping those headers black and painting the can black.

    1977 KZ400 Build "Logan's Run"

Very classic, I love it. Kinda wish I hadn't gone with plain ol' black on mine. You gonna throw any stripes on there?

    chrome cleaning

Nevrdull has served me very well, amazing what this crap can get off and no danger of damaging the finish. Just keep working it back and forth and maybe throw a little finger nail behind it for annoying pits.

    "Traveler's" 1977 CB550K Cafe build

+1 for what JRK5892 said, when I did my rebuild I copped out and just shot the frame while I had the back wheel off, left on the front end and the engine, nobody but me would ever know she wasn't down to the frame when I painted her though (well except for you guys lol). I also used...

+1 for the Kawasaki Twins Forum, the be all and end all for KZ400 info especially...Very knowledgeable guys over there. I also post on gtamotorcycle and the site that started it all for me was www.ninja250.org , there is a FAQ over there that explains how to do every single bit of maintenance...

Reinforced jeans- What do you wear?

I bought Cortech Mod Denim Jeans a couple years ago from newenough for a good price. Looks like they've gone up since then actually... Thought they looked good on the site, in person they are hideous and a terrible fit lol, baggy, I got them taken in and they are still ill fitting. BUT lol...

Re: 1979 Kawasaki KZ400B2 (Update: finally put some low bars/bar end mirrors on) Well we finally had a decently nice day here, so I got around to working on the bike. These bars were on my parts bike the whole time, cleaned up nice... Not sure what they are, maybe superbike? They're only...
