There are many café racers out there. This one isn't just a fiberglass tank/tail and some upside-down handlebars. It debuted at the June, 2009 Chicago Mods vs Rockers show, winning Best Custom Café. It was featured on a full page of Café Racer Magazine (page 74, October/November 2009 issue)...

Got mine from McMaster Carr. Prices are OK, but they have a whole lot of what you might need for a rebuild. Got tubing, rubber trim, and a ton of stainless hardware from them.

I already did the legwork for you. Worked great but then I had a clearance issue with the brake switch and raised forks on my bike and had to change to a single line and master cylinder mounted aftermarket switch. I just listed the combo on ebay...

The headlight has no cracks or chips and has never needed repair. It was repainted black for my show-winning cafe bike. It does have a couple minor nicks in the paint. The left side cover is polished, though it could use a little buffing. $20 for the bucket, $25 for the polished left...

It does look very much like a frame straight out of the blaster, but it's a textured powdercoat.

Had motor issues on the way to MvR. Damn. Now I've got to open it up again and see what's wrong. Still made it over there, but had to ride the Ducati.

I have a bucket that was repainted black for my project (before I went with a larger one to house the speedo) and I think I have a left side cover for you as well...

May have a new set of pistons and rings (but only mildly oversized). I installed them but never even started the motor before I went to a 498cc hi-compression set. I'll have to check on that size for you.

Yeah, its a deluge out there right now. Hoping it passes before tonight's ride...

Where did you find your finned points cover? I've been looking for a while and already have the stator cover.

The CB450 (well, hi-comp 498) will be out at Mods Vs Rockers Saturday and hopefully the pre-weekend ride tomorrow night. Updated pics to come.
