    Gas cap vent

Here it is the cap all cleaned up and laid out in order in case anyone is looking for this information. The rubber housing for the small round piece is soaking in silicone spray to soften it up a bit.

    Gas cap vent

Got excess pressure building up in the tank after a few minutes of riding due to a clogged vent. Tried soaking in vinegar and blowing compressed air to no avail. Anyone know how to disassemble this little f*cker? I've seen ones with a screw on the bottom, but this one has no slotted screw. Would...

Easy way to check CL360 oil pressure?

Great link! Thanks. I'm gonna order some 110s and 115s and see where that gets me. I went for a ride and noticed a bit of a stumble off of idle. Twisting the throttle too quickly nearly killed the bike. Maybe a needle shim is in order after all? I also noticed that my throttle cable was binding...

Easy way to check CL360 oil pressure?

Thanks Trek. A little reading and i came across that valve cover trick. It's definitely a most elegant and obvious solution. ::) Fuel starving from the filters certainly makes sense. I do have some crappy plastic ones installed. I'll try some solid fuel lines and see if that does the trick...

Easy way to check CL360 oil pressure?

So I was wondering if there was any way short of tearing open the engine to see that oil is getting to the top end of my cl360. I know oiling issues are common on these motors. I've recently had my carbs worked on by PJ, and she fired right up and ran better than ever. I played with the idle...

    1974 CB360 - My first cafe attempt

I dig it. Personally I'm glad you did the wheel conversion so I can hear first hand whether or not you feel it was an improvement over stock. It's all theory until somebody goes out and does it for them self. To address your original question, I'm running a Ballistic EVO2 4 Cell battery on my...

    CL360 engine build questions

You're right Sonreir it is for the 350, but you have to shorten it 2 links or so and it'll work for the 360. I bought a tsubaki chain on Ebay for my 360 but i'm pretty sure it's the same as the one they sell at bore-tech. I got my clutch springs from bore tech and they work for the 360 as well...

    CL360 engine build questions

Also, I highly recommend getting a heavy duty parallel side cam chain from bore tech so it doesn't eat up your tensioner as badly. And of course, an oil seal kit, valve stem seals and a gasket set.

    CL360 engine build questions

I just finished a rebuild of the same motor a few months back. One thing to look out for on these bikes is whether or not the cam chain tensioner has been updated since the recall. The original design had a flaw where the end of the tensioner would break off into the crank case. If the engine...

    Oskimo's First Build Ever '75 CL360

Thanks for the pics, trek. That's extremely helpful. Looks like I need at least 1 1/4" of clearance with them angled out quite a bit. Maybe I'll give them a shot. Either that or look for some 7/8 bars with a slight bend to fit my existing clamps. Anyone know where to find bars like that?

    Oskimo's First Build Ever '75 CL360

There you have it. She runs great. A bit of sputtering out of the right cylinder at idle but I'm waiting for the weather to clear so I can do a proper carb sync. Just remember to run a 35/35 watt headlight on these 360s or else they don't charge. I learned that the hard way ::). Only thing...
