I also wear mine low with the top of the helmet sitting right at my eyebrows. I never found it to lift at highway speeds. For $60, I'd say go for it!
I also wear an Icon Alliance and a Simpson Bandit and I find them all quite comfortable. Oddly enough, the Simpson full face is noisier than the...
Here's another shot of the clip-ons:
For me, riding it is easy. It's a small bike and I'm 6 feet tall so it doesn't feel like that far of a reach. The bars are 41mm Woodcraft clip-ons with a custom spacer made to bring them down to the 39mm forks. Instead of using the aluminum bars that came...
Looks like a good starting point for a project! That seat looks like it's in really good shape. You could probably sell that off for a few bucks if you're going to make it a brat.
I might have posted this pic before, but here's my Bell Custom 500 with a short shield.
I had a bubble shield, but the snaps didn't hold it that well and it flew off... :-[

Bought a bubble shield for my Bell Custom 500. (Yes I realize it's not a vintage helmet) I had the shield for about 20 minutes of riding before it decided that it had enough of being on the helmet. Not sure where it wanted to go, but either way, it did not stay attached to the my helmet. I've...
Sorta took a different direction with the tail. Not sure if it looks like a Cafe Racer, Cafe Fighter...
I'll have to sort out how to give it a more finished look over winter.
I went with a broker and I'm also with Jevco. They were slightly cheaper than Rider's Plus. The only reason I switched is my friend works for the broker and I thought it'd be nice to give him the business.
I think the kit looks great! While I appreciate and have very high respect for people that make their own bikes, I also understand the joys of riding and not wrenching. From personal experience, it sorta sucks when everyone else is out for a ride and I have to fix mine...
Anyone ever try these?

I have a Bell Custom 500 and I'm quite happy with it. Wish I had more selection locally to try on...
