About the paint the pics I was talking about was the second to last pic on post #26 and the last 3 pics on post #28(which I think are the cracks you were talking about). You mentioned you where checking out different front fenders. I think a thinner one would look nicer for sure, maybe you could...
Looks good noel, actually looks really mean and definitely unique(in a good way). If you want constructive criticism, the only thing I have is the quality of the paint. It's flaking off the front fender and has a few nasty spots. Maybe a few more coats, and a matte clear coat? :-\ It most...
Looks good man, it's a trip seeing mags on a older looking K. I personally hate mags but this is one of the better looking combos I've seen. Just a FYI your main cosmetic issue I see is the humongous gap between the back wheel and fender. You need some lowering links or short shocks ASAP if you...
Try a deviantart search? They have the biggest variety I know of.
Edit: I found mine at TTR400s site. Here's a link to the site and wallpaper.

MikeXS tachs are from a universal tach maker, heard of them working with tons of different bikes. Never heard of them not working. You can find those tachs at tons of places though, probably even local. A good indicator if they're the same is the triangle or straight arm mount.
Seems like a bad idea, my throttle is already stiff enough if I forced it down my handle bars the sharp bends in the cable would totally screw riding up. Probably end up with carpel tunnel.
FYI I think they call that style either a "dunstall" or "reverse cone" You'll probably want a 20" or shorter one for your bike if you want to keep it short 24" if you want a long drag pipe. I know JC whittney and Dennis & Kirk sell them as well for $50.
Haven't stopped by here in a while, but couldn't have gone better! I was going down through the welding pics and was thinking "oh no it's going to be a hard tail" and BAM! I saw the shocks on there, it looks sick man!! Good work! BTW, is that a front fender on the back wheel? Or am I just not...
Hey Steve, yep basically any organic dye will work with anodizing. You can use Dylon which is a fabric dye as well, from what I hear it works better then the dyes marketed by chemical companies "for anodizing".
You said you prefer the raw look more then polished and color? Your talking about...
Tim, you first polish then anodize. It's actually the most effective method of sealing an aluminum polish. Your right though it does impregnate the aluminum but only so far. It hardens and puts a binds into the exterior aluminum creating a anodized coat about .0002-.002" depending on which...
I'm thinking of setting up a anodizing and dyeing tank(not fuel tank, an actual tank) for aluminum for things like: Case Covers, Nuts & Bolts, etc. Really anything thats aluminum and that will fit safely in the tank. It would be at least the side of side covers.
If you don't know what anodized...
Thx for the respects :p Although this blows mine out of the water! What program are you using and how easy would it be to throw different tanks on that frame you made.
Good stuff

Damn man, looking good already.
Keep us posted. Also FYI to post pics directly into this thread so we don't have to open URL's, simply go to your photobucket album and choose the picture you want. Then under the picture it will have a list (about 3) of options. Copy the IMG Code text and paste...
