    1972 Suzuki TS250 Cylinder Bored

I'm looking to get the cylinder of my TS250 Suzuki bored out 1 over. How much would a machine shop charge to do that kind of work?

    CL350 Doesn't Have Any Power

On the left cylinder, I can get the intake valve adjusted right but I can't seem to ever get the exhaust to adjust at the right timing on the rotor. Could that be caused from a bent valve?

    CL350 Doesn't Have Any Power

Here's the latest on my issues. I got the bike to run ok one time around the block then it went back to the same old issues. Now I can't hardly get it to start. I did the compression test again. The left cylinder went down some. I'm getting pretty convinced that I will need to open up the...

    CL350 Doesn't Have Any Power

It's getting spark, a really good spark actually. I started messing with the carb some more and worked on getting them synced. It's helping the bike A LOT so I'm starting to wonder if that was it all along. I'm running out of time to mess with it more today but I'll keep on that track for a...

    CL350 Doesn't Have Any Power

OK, I'm starting to wonder if something else could be the issue. I checked the plugs. The right one is dry and tan so that tells me it's getting the proper fuel/air ratio. I pull out the left spark plug and it's wet. So am I chasing down a timing issue when I'm really having a carb issue...

    CL350 Doesn't Have Any Power

I checked the cam sprocket like you said. I found the flat part on the cam sprocket. It is on the top and level with the cylinder head. One thing I messed with when I turned on the bike was manually use the throttle on each carb instead of the throttle. When I do that, the right cylinder...

    CL350 Doesn't Have Any Power

OK, here's the latest. I started messing with the bike some more. I took off the point plate so I could check the cam timing from the mark behind the plate. When the rotor is at LT, the mark is at 12 o'clock. I also cracked open the cylinder cover so I could take a peak at the actual cam...

    CL350 Doesn't Have Any Power

I'm having a hard time adjusting my valves because I can't get the rotor into the right position and stay there for me to adjust them. The left cylinder won't be in TDC when I have the rotor lined up at the LT mark. That's what I was trying to do when I noticed this problem.

    CL350 Doesn't Have Any Power

So are you thinking I need to open the top end up and check that cam then? Is there anything else it could be? It doesn't sound like it really.

1971 CL450 New starter switch problems please help!

Sounds like you may have mixed up a couple of wires and put a negative on a positive. On a side note suggestion, while you're doing electrical work on your bike like that, it might help your frustrations a little by getting a mini-breaker. I've put that on some of my bikes and it helps when...

    CL350 Doesn't Have Any Power

I've never opened the engine on this one but it does seem like the cam is off. The thing is though, I've had the bike running what I thought was right in the past. Then it lost it's power. I thought it was electrical issues but now was I wrong on that assumption? How could the cam timing change?

    CL350 Doesn't Have Any Power

Alright, here's an update on the bike. I started messing with the valve timing. The issue I'm noticing is that the rocker arms won't feel loose until the rotor is well past the LT mark. If you look in the pictures, you can see the rocker arms start to feel loose at the arrow mark and not the...

    CL350 Doesn't Have Any Power

I'm getting a little stumped on this one guys. I'm hoping someone here can give me a little guidance. I've been doing an full electronic upgrade to the '72 cl350. I put on a Pamco Ignition, Dyna Coils, new rectifier, new stator, new spark plugs, and new spark plug wires. I have all of them...

2 questions, rear brake and airbox issue cb350f

I had a cb350f for a while with pod filters on it. I don't think I would recommend them on the bike. They were bad about created a vortex inside the pods. The air/fuel mix would get all messed up on windy days. It was common for me to fiddle with the choke while I was driving on that bike...

    Handlebars choice

I'm running clubmans on my CX500 and CB350f. They are pretty low. I'd say, if you ride short distances usually then the low bars won't matter too much. If you plan to take longer rides then I'd say not to get the clubmans. I plan on buying some superbike bars for my CX500 when I'm ready to...

Should I trade my Desktop for two CB750s (details in side)

You know, two cb750s for 1200 sounds interesting to me. I know I'd think about getting them. I'd ask more about the "little work" comment. That could mean anything. He might not realize a new battery and clean carbs could get the bike running all day long. On the other hand, you could have...

    yamaha xs 360 1974

I'm not sure if this is the problem but it could be. Maybe check the carb boots. They could be leaking and need replacing. Turn the engine on then spray some starter fluid on the outside areas of the boot where they would be leaking. If the engine revs up from that, then you have a leak at...

    Stator or Battery Issue?

I have a cb350F that is so close to being finished. The bike looks great and runs pretty good on the road after a lot of carb tuning. The issue I'm having now is an electrical one. I put in a smaller battery, a 5Ah. Now the battery won't hold a charge at all. The longer I run the bike, the...

    CB350f has issues

The both the main jets and the slow jets are brand new so crud shouldn't be the problem. So you think I should get bigger slow jets? Are the mains alright then?

    CB350f has issues

Alright, I have been working on my cb350f for about a year now. It's seriously close to being road ready. Today I've been working on getting the carbs synced. I'm able to get all four around 10 psi. The problem is that it's not idling well at all. It still sounds sick. Anytime I hit the...
