    SL100 - Summer fun.

Oh and just to get a vote... should I stick with the sl fuel tank (and add some knee dents) or should I switch out? my idea was to use a cb200 tank with some knee dents. but the stock tank is growing on me. (I will not be keeping the stock seat; it is way to high and bulky).

    SL100 - Summer fun.

This is what I have done to my sl so far. Doing just a bit of mockup. I removed the fenders of course, I replaced the top tree with a 1976?... top tree and ran the forks through. I also flipped the instrument cluster mount upside down and welded on some tabs to keep the vintage look but to lower...

    SL100 - Summer fun.

Oh and dude, nice airhead. I was trying to get a r75/5 off this guy in Tucson for a few months. He lived right down the road from a friend of mine, and he had them just sitting out in his front yard just rotting away. But the guy would not part with them. He said "I'm going to restore them". >:(

    SL100 - Summer fun.

Re: SL100 - Summer fun. I almost asked if that was bob's. A buddy at work was telling me to check bob's out. Never been there so... that's why I asked. I totally down to meet up. I have no cafe friends yet. I'm working on my project at work which is out in Apache Junction. It's my first build...

    it's alive, it's alive... IT'S ALIIIIVE!

Didn't take much at all either. I tore down the carbs today and cleaned everything up. and fixed the gaps on the spark plugs (which amazingly looked to be brand new). I'm guessing that's one of the thinks the previous owner did to try and get it running but failed. Removed the rusted to hell...

    it's alive, it's alive... IT'S ALIIIIVE!

After having this bike for 2 years now I finally was able to get it over to my shop (work) and start tinkering. After rigging up a temperary fuel system and figuring out the rats nest of wiring, I got my SL175 running. Started up on the first kick. Its been sitting in a shed for 30 years before...

The Free CB750 - Project Zoidberg

lol... Tools are not cheep. I am only a young man... almost 25 and still drive the very same car that I bought when I was 16. I have allot of money in tools ( mainly purchased for my profession) and still have nothing. Quality comes from experience (which I have some, not as much as many), but...

The Free CB750 - Project Zoidberg

God I love being an automotive tech. We are spoiled by such things as compressed air, pneumatic tools, and whatnot lol

    sl175

Yeah, I figured that would be the case. As an Automotive tech. I kinda already thought that one carb into two cylinders would not be the best. From my thought it would require a much larger I'm guessing around a 40mm carb to be able to get basically the same performance as stock 2 carb. Was...

    sl175

Ok, so... I've been out for a while. My work space got invaded by my sister-in-law lol. so now back to the build process. I have not quite gotten anywhere on the build but am now putting together a list or build guide if you will together. I have so far picked up some very nice woodcraft 31mm...

    1971 Honda 175cc Cafe Build

Great build, I have a 71' sl175 that I'm going to be transforming into a cafe, and up until I say your build thread, did not know how to push the forks through the top tree. Just picked up a 76' xl175 top tree that I hope will work. Glad to see another sl175 that has been built into a cafe. What...

Universal - Adjustable Rearset - more pictures and discount option

I'm very interested in the rearsets. they will be going on a sl175 and I don't have passenger pegs or mounts for them. I'm wondering about what you have that may work for this? Thanks Tyler

    New to the Cafe world

ok, the only reason the question even came up is because another guy on a youtube video said he had to delete his kicker because his rear sets got in the way. I was already thinking i could mod the kicker if necessary or get fold-ups. just food for thought really. I really do appreciate you...

    New to the Cafe world

oh now I just thought about this question its been something I've been thinking about. but, my bike is kick start only. how would i be able to have rear sets and not have them in the way of the kick start. or if you have any other ideas on how to have rear sets in general with kick start that...
