    CB750F First Project

Back from the dead. The standard issues of day to day living have pushed this project to the back corner of the garage, but... I did a little bit of painting this weekend, and thought I would dust off the old thread. Below is a pic of the tank and seat. The blue is a lot softer then the...

    CB750F First Project

Your "alternatives and advice" are always welcome and appreciated. In fact, your advice has accounted for about half of my build. In regard to the paint, I am just going to wing it and see what happens. I have the blue to go over it, and a clear to go on top of that. If it all goes to pot...

    CB750F First Project

Wow, that sounds like a lot of wrong. Actually, I followed your lead on the appliance epoxy. My frame too. I wish I had not fallen off the the site for a while so I would have known your tank went yellow. A lot of the tank and most of the seat will have blue over it, so that should help. What...

    CB750F First Project

That would make sense. I washed them with dish soap, and I was going to wipe them down with acitone after I hung them up for painting... and I forgot. Nice. It is funny though, the first coat went on really nice without any of the "crinkling" effect. It is quit possible that I grabbed it with my...

    CB750F First Project

A couple of things to report. I repainted the brakes this weekend. After the first coat they looked really nice, so I waited 24 hours and put on a second coat. That did not work out as well. Now a few of the pieces have this crap on them. Not everywhere, but enough to be a...

I like it. Looking forward to seeing pics of it all buttoned up. I know how you feel about waiting on replies. It is always a drag to sign on and see your build on the 3rd page with no "new" icon ;D

What gauge wire for '76 cb750

Hillsy-- Thanks for the reminder, I have seen that advice about spacing the cuts on here before. Teazer-- I looked at harness tonight, and the shortening idea seems like a better solution. Thanks for the heads up, and all the links. It is greatly appreciated.

What gauge wire for '76 cb750

Thank you sir. Most appreciated, and I will double check with my snippers (I did not think of that. I am new to the wiring game) The one foot is a generous guess at the moment. I am trying to get this mess of connectors: into my headlight shell.

    CB750F First Project

Re: CB750F Still The First Project Quick update. I broke down the brakes tonight. I found out that there was zero brake fluid in the rear lines, and not much more in the front brakes. I hope to repaint the black bits this weekend. Also, I got the new lines in this week as well.

78 CB750F- Putting her back together!

Like the big graphics. I like the yellow more then the gray. I would put a little more red in the yellow to take a little bit of the brightness out of it, but it looks cool.

    CB750F First Project

I just spent a LONG time writing a post, and I got logged out and lost it. Call it punishment for being away for so long. So here is a run down of what I have been up to: Engine in the frame Starting to put things back together (right side) More junk stuffed in (left side) I started...

    CB750F First Project

So it has been a long time since my last update. But I have gotten my act together and gotten back in the garage. I got everything stripped and cleaned and finally started to paint. Only have pictures of the frame. More painting to come. I used Rustoleum appliance paint (almond). It will be...
