    cutting a tank question

angle grinder and a 4" cutting wheel. you may have to remove the guard but WATCH OUT because you can cut yourself so fast it's scary. I still have a scar on my index finger from doing the same thing. Just be careful and wear safety glasses...metal specks will be flying everywhere

    my silly little bike

So today I'm riding my bike around my neighborhood just to see how loud my straight pipe is and I'm doing about 24 MPH in a 25 zone and I pass this guy standing in his yard so I do the neighborly thing and give him a little wave. The he gestures for me to slow down while he mouths the words...

    my silly little bike

Can anyone recommend an exhaust pipe for this thing? I tried using a straight piece of galvanized pipe but it looks cheesy. I like this look. Maybe not exactly like this but something more stylish than just a straight pipe. Anyone?

    my silly little bike

haha yeah I'm 5'6 about 180 and it has trouble going up even the slightest incline. I usually have to drop it down into 4 to keep it at 45 mph. On flat roads it will get up to speed pretty quick but don't ask it to do much more than that. ;D I laugh at my wife when she asks to ride on the back.

    my silly little bike

it's funny...I used to have a 550 and now that I have this little 125, I feel like I'm riding a scooter...until I catch a reflection of myself in a window then I don't feel so small. Still, I'm going with a straight pipe on the exhaust to give it a bit of a meaner sound. ;) 1978 cb125s Cafe...

Making a Fiberglass Mold and Duplicating

I guess if you're going for quality, then I can understand how it might get pricey. I feel that in the true spirit of cafe, I'll make mine out of things I have lying around...which is less likely to render pro looking results but I'm ok with that given my financial situation. :)

    when you built your seat...?

oh yeah I looked at that one in the store yesterday and I had planned to do the same setup you have with the light attached to the hump like that. I think we have a winner

    when you built your seat...?

When you built you seat, or just changed out your brake light for something a little less conspicuous, what brake light did you opt for? I've been looking here and there casually searching for something low profile enough that it won't look tacky but something effective enough that johnny cage...

Making a Fiberglass Mold and Duplicating

Maybe I'm missing something but why is it cheaper to buy a pre-made seat? Fiberglass stuff couldn't be anymore than $50 and Bondo is $7/can. Again, maybe I'm way off but it doesn't make sense to me to say it's cheaper to buy a $130-$250 seat when the prices I've found on the items needed (or...
