    Heel toe rev matching

The syncros in the automotive trans do lend a lot of aid to making that happen easier...plus, and I believe the bigger factor, is the fact that with a car your hand is MUCH more sensitive to that feel in the shifter than what you are going to feel with your foot; I had a jockey shifter on a...

not really cafe per-se - but WAY vintage

Kinda going to be half street-bike, half board-tracker "hybrid" - fabricating the majority of the frame; with a harley-hummer rubber-sprung girder front-end and using a "spare" three-speed trans left from the 1926 Peashooter project - not going to be historically accurate - but certainly...

    Boingk's Budget GS850 [Sold...]

Re: Boingk's Budget GS850 [Pod filters fitted] sounds like you might want to check the petcock - and fuel feed, mine did the same thing because of a vacuum leak - fliped the petcock to "prime" rather than "on" and it cleared right up - may not be the case with yours but way easier than getting...

    GS1000 - just copmpleted

Thanks! rather than just cut off the tail, I fabricated the flat section from just behind the side covers which goes all the way around under the seat out of 2" wide steel, it is all welded to the frame, makes for a sturdy seat support, and I thought it just looked much more finished than simply...

    GS1000 - just copmpleted

the 4 into one came with the bike, I swedged it open a hair to accommodate the exhaust can - it is a old Wyleco unit that came from a Buell I used to have, shorten it up about 2 inches because of a end that was damaged - - it is pretty quiet at idle, a low note - quite nice, above about 3,500...
