    For Sale 1967 ducati 250

Here is a chance to get a classic cafe bike. It's with great regret I'm selling my 1967 250 Ducati project bike, I could part it out on Ebay, but would like someone to get the whole thing. The frame has been sand blasted and repainted. It comes with a spare lower end, carb, head & barrel. The...

If Ducati really comes out wiht the Vyper i am selling my Harley

Is it just me or do all these new bikes look like they collided with an truck load of air conditioner and washing machine innards? This one's the worst I've seen, it looks like it mated with a Maytag and a fridgedaire.

Just For Fun --- How OLD Are You?

54, started riding at 14, first bike a 80 suzuki which I ported and polished. managed to get an honest 70mph out of her. Next bike was an suzuki X6 hustler, more mods and wheelies in three gears. Bought a number of basket cases, never finished them and then switched to sports cars, tr4, opel GT...

The "Call of the Road" part two

Here's some more of T.E. Lawrence's ( Lawrence of Arabia) writing I dug up. Inspiring stuff on a Winters day , Lawrence racing an airplane with his Brough Superior ;~- enjoy "Another bend: and I have the honour of one of England' straightest and fastest roads. The burble of my exhaust unwound...

    The call of the Road

Hi all, been away for a while and have decided if it's too bloody cold to ride I'd get nostalgic. Here's a quote from one of the origgian; cafe racers. Enjoy ;~) "Boa is a top-gear machine, as sweet in that as most single-cylinders in middle. I chug lordlily past the guard-room and through the...

    What was your first bike?

My first was a 1965 Suzuki 80, rebuilt from the ground at 14. Bored to 100CC, ported, dished piston & trimmed ( further increase of port timing). Ended up with a powerband of about 6500- 11,000, top end about 70mph Wahoooooo! Alas, no pictures survive, spent all my time riding.

    What, no Italian representation?

Not many of us around here, mine's a 66 250, currently in bits, but will look a lot like this when it's done http://www.roadandrace.com.au/ducati_mach1_usa.htm I've spent the last year sourcing parts all over and lots NOS Ducati bits off Evilbay Thumper

Cafe Racer for sale with video's

With the two strokes you didn't even have dump the clutch ;~) Just crank it and go, damn near had to sit on the tank of my X6 after I changed the gearing and port timing ;~) Ah, the days of foolish youth, it's amazing I survived. I understand that some strokers now have a variable form of...

Cafe Racer for sale with video's

Man, I really hate to see a Guy lose his ride because of hard times, been there and done that and always regretted it. Maybe we should set up "Save Fang's Ride" fund, 6 buck each would be over $3500.00. Thumper

Cafe Racer for sale with video's

Wouldn't be hard ;~) those two strokes are very peaky. My Suzuki X6 made very little power below 4500 RPM, and it wasn't hard to pull the front wheel in the first three gears, even when stock. Thumper

So who's going to the Toronto Motorcycle Show? Dec 7-9

I cringe at the idea of trailer queens or bikes built by deep pockets and machine shops being displayed. The world already has plenty of venues for that kind of thing that exclude the work of the average shade tree mechanic who frequent these boards. The whole spirit of the cafe racer was taking...

    1973 Honda 350 Super Sport - $750

I had a T20 Suzie back in 1971, I used to have a riot blowing off 650 beezers and trumpets at the lights and watch them choke on my two stroke exhaust. I ported it and upped the back sprocket four teeth, the power band was about as wide as Paris Hilton's attention span, but there wasn't much...
