you may already know this but you can buy a kit with two uni filters that lets you continue to use the airbox covers. not exactly what you're saying, but kind of similar.

i'm about to buy one of the pamco ones like the first one you mentioned, except for my cl350. i've heard really good things about them and that they are easy to install.
i've seen this bike, i actually have a picture of it saved on my computer, but never realized you were from about an hour away from me until i just saw it on craigslist. really dig the colors.
will a 2.75 front tire be alright on stock cl350 rim? I've been considering getting a 2.75 shinko 241 for now, and later on upgrade both tires to avons in 90/90/19 front, 100/90/18 rear.
