1973 another classic... for $300, why can't I find deals like that! ... if I were You... I would keep it stock (it will be worth alot more as everyone butchers them) and find a late 70's early 80's 650 special to cafe. Just my opinion though.

...not a 'problem' the way that one looks! You cannot find those machines in that condition - with matching numbers - bonus! I don't know if the bars are stock, and the crashbars are an add-on. I like what Drewski has done to his.

Wow... crazy ride on a 360! I discovered years ago on a similar journey the value of a bike built for that purpose. When the time came to do it again, I used a Beemer with an aeroflow windscreen and touratech panniers... smooth and comfortable. You are one iron-butt rider for that trip.

I suppose you could call it that... thunderdome maybe? I certainly would not pay what has already been bid (and reserve not met!!??). Come to think of it, I would not feel comfortable riding it... just not my style.

Healthcare is universal and free in Cuba also... so maybe we are communists. Perscription drugs here are less expensive than the USA due to our government limiting what drug companies charge the public. If you have a drug plan with your employer it can be very low cost. The Ontario Government...

I have never had a problem with healthcare here in Ontario. If I need to go to my doctor, I get in quickly. If tests are required (MRI, xray, ultrasound, bloodwork), again they are done quickly. And the cost is covered by OHIP (Ontario health insurance plan) which is covered by business taxes...

That is very cool... but I would be concerned about ownership, prior to investing alot of cash in a bike that is not registered in my name. In order to transfer title, you require a bill of sale signed by the last registered owner. I would take care of those minor details first. Great project...
