Back story (questions in next paragraph if you want to skip this part): so I bought this cb360 last winter for seven hundred bucks. I got it running (poorly) when I got it home and decided the carbs sucked and moved on to the next project... like you do when you have like 6 bikes and ADD. fast...
any recommendations on a good welding machine for welding in battery boxes and cafe loops? cheaper the better but something that can adequately do the job.
anyone know a good place to pick these up on the cheap? the old ones are craked (it's the part between the carbs and the engine, I think that is the correct term) maybe intake boots? either way if anyone knows where I can pick some of these up it would be most appreciated.
is there a brand or style that are great at an inexpensive price? are the billet better than the normal ones? they are for a 1981 yamaha xs650 with original forks so they should be 35mm. would it be better to get 34mm to make a tighter fit? just lookin for some info before I buy anything.

So I've been learning about tires for all of 30 min but I did read the articles posted in this section. I think I want to go with a 120/90 16 on the rear because the chain guard won't let me run a 130/80 (yes i want to keep the chain guard) anyone recommend a decent brand or places to look at...
I don't have a gas cap for my 78 cm185. Is there a cheap easy substitute or does it need to be oem? do other model caps fit this model, like maybe cb's? I feel like those would be easier to find
been looking around the interwebs and so far I can't find pipes to fit this bike. anyone know what fits other than oem? I have the oem but they have some rust holes in the bottom would like to get maybe a 2 in 1 for it
so I just picked this up for $350. I know it's small but I think it will be a fun project. nothing too fancy, just change up the bars and instrument panel, make a cafe seat, clean it up, do some painting etc... excited to see where this goes
i have an 81 xs650 that I will be starting a build on soon. it has a standard 16"rear, 19" front tire set up. is it bad to run a 16" on the front as well? I would like the bike to sit low and level. the way it sits now the front sits up higher than the back.
just recently got back into bikes and I have 2 cafe projects I'm working on. 1979 kz650 (I'm somewhere in the middle of this project) and an 81 xs650 that is currently all stock original that I'm digging into after the kz is done
