I've read that with a 750, anything but the stock airbox is a no-no, but with the 650, can I run velocity stacks? Or if I go with a better filter, what brand would you recommend?

I literally can't take the carbs off of my cb650. All of the clamps are undone, the throttle cables are out of their clips, and the airbox is disconnected. They just will not budge, as the bike has been sitting for about 15 years. Do i use a hairdryer? heat gun? I would rather try to salvage the...
