    Motorcycles Versus . . . Apple?

Bruno, I think if there is any redeeming value in the NY Times opinion piece it is the comment on the generational shift, which you alluded to. Unfortunately, replacing the kind of Apple, techy knowledge with mechanical knowledge only makes us more susceptible to consumerism, which appeared to...

    Motorcycles Versus . . . Apple?

Forgive me if this NY Times piece has already been referenced: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/06/opinion/sunday/is-the-iphone-replacing-the-motorcycle.html?_r=1&src=recg The thesis is that Apple products (for example) are supplanting motorcycles as the "cool" purchase for a younger generation...

Been away from the site for awhile. Love the work as always. Love the humor, too. Especially the "McNasty!" And a black tee would be sweet.

I know why I hate Hipsters

"Hipster" has not always been associated with conformist, privileged twenty-somethings who are trying to be cool. Norman Mailer wrote a very famous essay called "The White Negro" in which he explored what it meant to be a hipster. I'm not sure when this term became so pejorative. I believe...

Cheesy, ugly, dumb, whatever, something about this is cool.

Since they were so damn cool, I sent these bike pics to some people at work. A guy emails me back saying, "This is more my speed:" Minneapolis ArtCar Parade 2007 -- The Sofa Car

    Steampunk video

I've seen people reference various steampunk bikes. Thought some who were interested in the movement in general would enjoy this short video. (At the end of the video there is a steampunk-ed My Little Pony): http://www.pbs.org/arts/gallery/off-book-episode-4-steampunk/off-book-episode-4-steampunk/

I don't know. I think I still like the second. By the way, I like the addition of "Attack." Adds a nice irony.

Dig it. Not sure if you're asking which one we like better . . . but I like the second one.

I would definitely buy a t-shirt. The stickers are very cool. But my kids would end up putting them on their face or something. Please let us know if you go ahead with the shirts.

Cute young girl on a bike! ;)

Awesome! The look on her face when she revved it was priceless. By the way, I can't get the video to load.

Wow, that is really cool. You should do the same treatment on the U.S.A as a whole, given various recent unsavory occurrences. Great work as always.

    Absolutly horrible...

One of VY's original posts in this thread shed light on the knee-jerk reaction most people had to accuse the "Islamist Fascists" of the attack. The point of the column from The Guardian was to show that Norwegian violence has been committed more by neo-Nazi groups and not Islamic terrorists...
