Re: 76 CB360, Of course...this sucks. I'm assuming your compression is good, have you checked your valve clearance lately? Or could you have a bad spring? Just throwing out guesses man, making sure all the boxes are checked. Is there any way to check the mechanical advance? Sent from my...

Re: 76 CB360, Of course...this sucks. What condition are your filters in? If they are partially restricted that could effect things as well. Sent from my brain using telepathy and Tapatalk

1976 Honda CB360T - The first step is admitting I have a problem build

Nothing makes me think that. Just telling my experience, not trying to argue. The main thing is giving Trek enough advice that he can get his bike going again, and the more advice and experience we can share with him the better. There is no "one right way" with this, as you said. He'll have to...

1976 Honda CB360T - The first step is admitting I have a problem build

Just speaking from experience man. Aluminum is really easy to damage with flame. Not saying he shouldn't use it, but to be very careful if he does. And with care the center punch shouldn't be hard to do, it's only 1/8" below the surface, normal for a broken off bolt, l've extracted plenty. Same...

1976 Honda CB360T - The first step is admitting I have a problem build

Personally, l wouldn't get a torch of any kind near it except as a last resort. The whole mother is aluminum, and aluminum warps very easily. The first thing to do is mark the broken off stud with a center punch, before you ever start drilling. You may wish to very carefully smooth the surface...

1976 Honda CB360T - The first step is admitting I have a problem build

In basic training my drill sergeant would tells us "you can't polish a turd" But yet still expect us to buff the barracks floor... It was crap, but shiny crap! Kinda like that first petcock l bought. Except it wasn't shiny either. Just crap. Sent from my brain using telepathy and Tapatalk

1976 Honda CB360T - The first step is admitting I have a problem build

The one you bought looks just the one from SCI - same tight spacing and a plastic reserve tube. It also has a plastic sediment bowl screen, and that is the one l was talking about removing. Sent from my brain using telepathy and Tapatalk

1976 Honda CB360T - The first step is admitting I have a problem build

The one I bought used a brass screen and has no flow issues, and the spacing on the output nipples is correct. The one from SCI had a plastic screen, but removing it had no effect. The output nipples were very close together, so much so that l had to trim my fuel lines to get both on at the same...

1976 Honda CB360T - The first step is admitting I have a problem build

I used the new petcock from hondacb360.com, and l am very happy with it. Definitely stay away from the one(s) that SCI sells. Ask me how l know... Sent from my brain using telepathy and Tapatalk

    Best website for buying hardware?

I personally love my local Fastenal store. I order two or three bolts at a time, no shipping and no trouble. Many times my stuff comes in the next day. And really great pricing for stainless steel Allen head metric bolts! Beats the heck out of stripping JIS with a Phillips... If you have issues...
