1972 Honda CL350 First Time Build

I think that the front might just clear if cut down. But my plan doesn't involve fenders.

New Kawasaki KZ900 Controls wired in. Headlight and front signals installed.

Finally got around to getting my bike down to my basement for the winter.

Tank fitted. A pain in the ass routing the wiring harness out of sight with the Cb360 Tank.

Nice work so far. Good lead on the shocks too, I think I'll use them on my current project I'm starting, also a CL350. Just picked it up on Ebay. I was wondering about your plans for the frame and attachment points. I can see you kept the stock brackets for the rear pegs.

I am planning to lose the rear pegs and also the front ones in favor of rear sets. I'd also like to get rid of the center stand. However, the front pegs and steel bar that attach them to each other under the frame are also attached to the side stand. So much useless steel; just want to be sure before I powder coat! Any thoughts?

The ones on there are stock rims, 1.60x19 and 1.85x18 and badly cracked tires 3.00x19 and 3.50x18. After a lot of research I'm going to go up one size on the rims. I've ordered from Mikesxs.com

1 x H 1.85x19 36 hole shouldered aluminum rim (34-1802) = $89.95
1 x H 2.15x18 36 hole shouldered aluminum rim (34-1902) = $89.95

For tires I'm going to go with

Bridgestone TW42 Trail Wing Dual Sport Rear Tire
Color- --, Size- 120/90-18
SKU#139194 and

Bridgestone TW39 Trail Wing Dual Sport Front Tire
Color- --, Size- 90/100-19 TT
SKU#360216

from Motorcycle Superstore. $79 and $120 and free shipping. I like the tread pattern and they get good reviews for street use.

Nice bike... My dad and I watched that sell on eBay. He loved the color scheme for your bike and the brown seat. His project bike is next. I think we are going to do a burnt orange and a dark brown seat with a leather tank band to match.

As for your question. I cut the attachment points off for the center stand and the front peg bar except for the side for the kick stand. I am going to modify the original kick stand bar. I don't have them pictured yet but I bought Joker Billet Rear Sets. So far I plan to mount them to the original rear peg mounting points.

Those are sweet. But you'll have to supply your own actuating rods and attachments? Also I wish there were another location to attach rear sets without having to retain those big steel flaps.

The kickstand looks fairly easy to cut away from the steel rod that its attached to. I was thinking along the same lines. I'll be interested to see how it all comes out.
