Yes......

and yes.........

All my Hondas have one thing or another, causing me not to be able to ride them........or maybe just pure laziness.

I do have the Harley as back-up.

Recovering from surgery at the moment.

Hey Deviant,
did you run the original sprocket sizes front and back?
whats your air filter situation?
Still hording parts together for my XL!

For now stock sprocket. I plan to go up to a 42. Also, they went to a better gear ratio in 76. I have a 78 spare motor. I may switch out the gearing. They use the same case. Filter is a Uni.

Found a pair of 6v LEDs to add to the lighting. They're listed on eBay as custom snowmobile headlights. I'm thinking mount one on each side...

You're right about that. I tested one last night. It put out light about 8 feet in front of me. Not much more than that.

Have you tried to run a 12V LED on 6V yet? I'm guessin it will work, use an LED out of a flashlight... some of those are bright enough to make a train squint.

ya gotta whatchit tho most are 3.7 then they have a built in deal for another voltage but 6 or 12 will instantly fry the base 3.7 led
the good news is 6 -3.7 and 12 to 3.7 converters are cheep
i have one made from a 5 unit cree flashlit it will blind a train , gets hot too

I dunno. I ran into the wee hours of the morning last night, and one little bugger lit up the road pretty damn well. I think two running will be give my plenty of spread on top of the projector I have on it now.

Also did a little shakedown to get ready for The Thaw.
