1975 CB360 Freeze-dried Hell Ride

Heavy duty clutch springs I installed.

http://bore-tech.com/product/350-clutch-springs-cs-4

these are the only oil mods I made..

PJ and frogman recommended to me making this mod. Drilling these 2 hole out 1/32 inch larger than it is. They are in the top case next to the long studs. I used the dremel (pencil) attachment to do it, without removing the stud.

The other thing PJ had me do was add these holes to the clutch basket.

Thanks for sending this along... except that I put the motor back together last night. Hopefully, this is something I can do the next go'round? As for the clutch springs, I'm going to hold on to the stock configuration on the sprockets, at least for now. I had considered going to 18/39, which essentially keeps the same ratio, but adds a link or two on the chain and gives enough clearance for the taller rear stance. In the end, it seems making the adjustment on the front end is enough for now, and I'll mess with other elements once this thing is on the road. Being this is the second iteration, I expect there to be several more in the coming years.

Oooooh!. The motor is complete and all ready to mount. The bike may not be painted, but hopefully it's drivable to Meltdown.

Do those clutch mod holes work on a cb350? Or is this a 360 thing only.

Im not even sure they "work" on a 360, but so far they haven't hurt.
Probably fine for any wet clutch.
I reccomend you contact crazyPJ w your question.

I would think it would work.... Probably helps get the oil out faster and lock up quicker/better.

SWEET! It looks great. Umm to make the Meltdown? You should've started the coffee pot like 30 minutes ago!
However you should have plenty of time to get her ready for the Spring Thaw...are you gonna bring her to that?

Ha. I know that's wishful thinking. I may just drag others' bikes to Meltdown behind my truck and take a loner. The Thaw is not so likely, but I'm hopeful.

Get er done for the Thaw. I would like to meet you and see the machine...running and ridable. Now, quit fuckin around and get busy.

Mine is making a quick spiral downward towards the Dark side of the Force! On the fast track to becoming a Rat bike. But I am getting her carbs dialed in ...again. The air boxes are for "FUN" experimental purposes only. Once I get her running great w this bone stock set up, I plan to return to Uni filters and re-installing my original PJ modified pair of carbs, I may even send em back to him for his latest updated voodoo tricks. (same as yours) At this time I dont know which carbs she will have for the Thaw.

Aight, it's on.

Looks like Hayabusa rear sets is where I'm going. Less than $100 for two complete units is a hell of a deal. Ignore the reservoir. I didn't want to take 'em apart until I know how they need to be altered for this bike. Although, figuring out a way to run rear discs could be nice.

What effects will this have on the clutch/motor? Just help flow of oil?

Two Erics. You and OP. Bout damn time we had something other than Mikes around here. :)
I might have something at the Thaw, but I'll be riding passenger anyway. And I will be bringing my scissors again :D

I've got a functional rear brake set up for the Hyabusa rear set. It's the first mock up.
honda_48_zps0bcb6726.jpg

Here the parts for the brake setup. I don't have a mille or lathe, so I improvised a little on parts. I cut plate for the rear set mount and welded on a rear spring mount. It'll get welded more permanently, so what you see is for the mock up. The lever mechanisms was also cut from plate. I drilled a hole for the spring mount and carved an 1/8" groove to allow the bolt to be tightened without locking the lever. Eventually, I'd like to press a bearing to go over the mount, but without a mill I decided to go for this initial set up. A Dremel with a tungsten bit will do a pretty good job if you're neat and patient with the work.

I utilized the stock brake bar and clevis attachment, except I shortened the bar a few inches and attached the cutoff with a linkage.
It's not the prettiest setup, but it works. I'm also considering going with wire instead of the bar to engage the brake

looks like the swingarm will bang into it,besides that it will never work right :'(
the actuation point must be very close to the swinger pivot, much like the oem setup
