1976 Honda CB360T - Build Thread (Update 10/1 S2000 START BUTTON AND VIDEO!!!)

Re: 1976 Honda CB360T - Build Thread (Update 3/16 Rear Set Install)

Blimey... those parts for the rear set to mount everything trough the frame, might that be sold seperately somewhere?

No such thing came with my kit and I'm mind boggled figuring out how to get that fitted to the rear brake assembly :p

Which parts, specifically, are you missing? You can probably contact Kris from Old School Speed (durgramK) on here to see if he'll sell you some separate parts.

Sidecovers and headlight bucket going to paint today. Going to keep it blue. :)

Re: 1976 Honda CB360T - Build Thread (Update 3/16 Rear Set Install)

Well, I decided to hit up my buddy for some fresh paint! The original paint was dual-stage color with no clear. Silver over blu,e both being single state paints...or something like that.

We finally found a paint code which A) matches well and B) flops to the right color as the OEM paint job. Tonight we painted the side covers and headlight bucket. I will get the tank done at a later date to match.

First up...gotta sand everything down to get a nice smooth substrate.

Get them all sanded/scuffed and hook them to the painting rack.

The clear coat is nasty stuff and he didn't have an extra respirator, so I had to watch!

...until it dried. Then I went in to check it out. BEAUTIFUL color!

I was like a giddy school girl when he was laying down the clear. It looks FANTASTIC in person. Have to keep them at the shop over night to dry and Ill pick them up tomorrow. I brought the sample card home and it looks like it'll be a 95% match to the tank. Bike will be titties when everything is painted!

Re: 1976 Honda CB360T - Build Thread (Update 3/18 PAINT!!!!!)

And for my 200th post on DTT, I present you with my finished (for now) bike!

Well, Im calling it "done" for now. The quotes are important because it'll never really be done. Just a few minor things to button up and then Im going to enjoy it, assuming it warms up sometime soon. A year ago today it was 83*. Right now it is 28*. Anyways, onto the pics. Installed the painted pieces, headlight ears, and taillight. Still LOVE the seat. ;)

Only additional thing I might do is buy some chrome mufflers. The paint is damn near a perfect match to OEM, which is AWESOME. Im really pleased with how it turned out.

Nice job Matt. That looks nicer then stock in the pictures. Really deep and rich.

I have an extra set of side covers and tank. I may need to borrow your friend.

Got the master cylinder rebuilt, installed, brakes bled, adjusted rear brake, and took it out for a test ride! Everything ran well and went really well. :)
