I wish! Work has me in Port Lincoln tonight. Put 120k's on the bike yesterday before it started making a loud tapping noise which I suspected was the valve clearance shifting or something so I nursed the bike home. Reset the clearances and started her again but the noise was the same. Drained the oil and prepared for some exploratory surgery. Glad I did drain the oil because there was a fair bit of grit and small metal flakes (I assume from the running in process) from being soda blasted that I didn't manage to get all cleaned out.
Turns out the bolts holding the sprocket to the cam shaft had vibrated loose, so I torqued them back up to spec (16ft/lbs). Do you guys bother with thread locker on those? I figured it would be kind of pointless in that sort of oily hot environment.
lucky you found it before it got a whole lot worse, can't hurt to use some threadlock, ust give the holes and threads a quick blast with some carb/brake clean to get the oil off before you apply the thread lock
