There's a steel bushing in place? The stocker is a composite material.
Bushings are held in place by interference/compression. If you use a hacksaw blade to cut into the bushing and remove the compression, it should slide out without too much trouble.

Yeah there's a steel "rear fork center collar" and a pair of dust seals. I'm not seeing a "bushing" I was under the impression that the pair f bronze bushings were to replace the center collar.

They must have changed the design at some stage, I have just pulled mine apart and I have the steel bushing as in the pic above, nearly brought the bronze bushings and glad I held off as mine is like new and so I will reuse it
Can anyone confirm if the swing arm has an option, maybe its a difference between a CB360/CB360T/CB360G???

360 never had 'steel' bushings, they are a nylon composit pressed into swing arm and not shown in the posted pic.
The steel tube/spacer (collar) is clamped between frame tubes and swing arm pivots on it not the swing arm pivot bolt which just holds everything together
350 could have steel/cast iron combination

My swing arm has a stamp on it of 730919 which leads me to believe the manufacture date Sepember 19th 1973. Which is consistent with my vin plate.
Here's a pic of what I've got which is consistent with page 92 of the shop manual. The diagram on page 90 is not consistent with what I have. And that sucker is in there too...

OK, the matte edge is the flanged end of bearing.
You NEED to get the center tube out, it should be completely free to slide/rotate.
When it's out you shoul be able to see the edge of bearing inside pivot tube (and clean the rust off the pivot tube /collar)

Yeah it is not free to rotate... I got it to slide with some pretty serious hammer blows. (3lb sledge and a 1" drill rod as a helper to keep from flaring the tube.) Maybe an inch or so... I'll put some heat on it and see if I get any further.

Ok, I got that summabitch outta there... persuasion was the key... That sucker was rusted to the bushings no wonder I thought it was a bush...
After cleaning it up...
Good thing I did order the bronze bushings...the chrome on the shaft race is pretty crappy. I polish the race on my buddy's lathe. Is this a part that I can actually buy still?

I believe they are still available from Honda?
It isn't chrome plated though, you can probably polish i out with some fine emery

You could always look at ebay for another complete swing arm. I got mine for $35. It was in great shape. And disassembled for me. I got new bushings at honda shop.
heres one...shipping is a little high. But there are lots of em on there now.

Thanks for the link, that's the best one on eBay since it's complete and not rusty as all hell. I snagged that... $45 shipped isn't too bad. So Yes there are CB360 Swing arms that do not have a grase fitting... the rod for the ones that have the grease fitting have holes for the grease to go from one race to the other... not on mine. We'll trash this one and not let it back out in the wild. I'm scheduled to take everything to the powder coater next week. Hopefully the new swing arm will get here quick enough to prep and send along with the frame.

360 doesn't have the pivot bolt gun drilled. (XS650 does)
There is a boss welded on to 'top right' with 60 degree (?) grease nipple.

Okay, while I'm waiting for my replacement swing arm I am getting the stuff I am going to have powder coated ready. Started on the front end today, got the fork lock cut off and the stump ground down.
What other items should I be sure to have coated.... Frame, swing arm, triple trees, kick stands, shock springs, lower fork tubes maybe, (I am planning to not install the center stand but I'm leaving the mounts...) Any thing I am not thinking of? The chrome on my rims looks good, I was planning to polish the hubs....

sounds like you got it covered. Cant wait to see the fresh powder it will be nice.
AND when it comes time to install the forks back in the triple...DO NOT overtighten!!!
Find proper torque values in your manual, and use your torque wrench. It WILL crack w too much. And its not as tight as you might think.
