74 CB360 City Bike

Awesome stuff! What gauge metal did you go with for the seat pan? I didn't know lowes sold them, I'm going to have to check them out!

+1 on the gauge...did you take pics of the process? how did you mount the seat pan?

you've inspired me to do my own seat pan after being quoted $400 to get one made.

The pan is from an 8x24 piece (16 gauge). 12 dollars at lowes.

Great looking bike! Where did you get your velocity stacks?

Thanks man, I haven't gotten any velocity stacks, but I'm leaning towards something like this.

Let me start by saying I fully understand now what the term "winter project is all about." This little cb sat for most of the spring and summer while I was either working on house projects or just plain depressed from the heat. Now it's calling my name again.

The case got a coat of Rustoleum high heat primer, enamel, and clear. I did this in the spring so thankfully it has had a while to harden really well before reassembly of the top end.

Looks pretty simple, but this thing makes all the difference in the world when it comes to even coverage.

Shell art is over! So is the orange on this bike...well, maybe...I really miss it.

Fed up with the heat, I decided to be a girl about the situation and move the bike into the house for some assembly. And I figured if I had to look at it every time I went to the kitchen, I might get more work done. We shall see.

Engine is now fully painted and reassembled. Managed to replace the rings and clean the valves. Looks like some top end recall work was done at some point already. Cylinders looked good. I maneuvered it into the hole this morning with the help of my gf. I used the towel method to get it in without hurting the frame.

Man, you have done some pretty awesome work! I really hope you bring that orange back I think it looked perfect for the build.

Thanks snolte. I never dreamed I'd like orange on any vehicle I own, but I think it screams 70's Honda. Right now, it's a toss up between that and lime green.

I should have been painting the house today, but instead I cleaned up the carb bodies. Now a quick reassemble and off they go to PJ for a tune.
