What did Sherwin Williams do for ya on paint?

Did they have what ya needed/wanted?

Been meaning to get back on the paint post for a bit now. This is what I ended up going with from Sherwin:
Metallic Orange BaseCoat with Reducer:

ClearCoat with hardener:

Total cost was around 100. Hope to get some color on this week.

Wouldn't it been cheaper to get it painted? I understand the "DIY' part, i'm like that as well, but 100 for paint seems a lot? Anyways, good luck and looking good!

Youre right, I was a little blown away at the cost of the paint. But, I think a "quality job" by a pro would run between 3 and 400. Ill gladly keep that 2 to 300 bucks in my pocket and be able to tell people it was a DIY job. We shall see. Thanks man.

true.

You will also have enough paint left over to do about another five or six bikes. The stuff goes a pretty long way.

Thanks. I think it's a little darker than the Factory orange. I'm putting the final coat of clear on it today. Original decals just came in the mail yesterday.

Here's a snapshot of what's cookin.

I have the harness back on but I'm trying to figure out my battery placement. The battery box I made is not getting along with the pods very well as far as placement goes. I might have to find shorter filters and/or re-weld the box. Gonna do some research on a zero gravity battery as well.
