that NOS bottle idea has been beat to death...but whatever floats your boat.
Dude! that seems a little critical.
BUT Cool, post some pics here, Id like to check out what ALL the others have done. As far as I know the only bikes Ive seen that are nitrous equipped....are nitrous equipped. as in functional. I mean really, what kind of a-hole would make a NOS bottle toolbox? lol

Do you really want to represent you have NOS, and don't...? I mean, If I came across ya. I'd wanna race. Just to see what it could do... But since it aint there, I already know.. about 90. In 15 seconds, Quarter mile approximately in 17... Just a thought.

Also I dont know for sure my bike would even go 90mph, 85 is scary enough for me....LOL

Re: 76 CB360, before & after

It should get to 'THE TON' if you crouch down and tuck in (with a tailwind) ;D

Re: 76 CB360, early engine build, before & after

I was planning to build engine this winter. After Barber & deer season, before spring.
Made BARBER Hotel reservations this past weekend.
Tuesday evening told old lady I may go ahead and start the motor build, before Barber...its just too hot to ride anyway. But it too hot to work on bike too. I knew the plug threads were pretty bad..it would be cool to have it fresh for Barber.
Wednesday...Blew left spark plug out of the head! riding home from work.
SO, Getting started on engine build a little earlier than expected.
Thank goodness I have been collecting parts and tools over the past 3 - 4 weeks for this job.
and now I think I have everything. Just in time!!! Amazing how stuff works out sometimes.

Heres the parts rundown.

Good used complete head...w GOOD SPARK PLUG HOLES, valves, springs & head cover w lifters.
nos cam chain tension slides
heavy duty cb750 cam chain + extra master links
new piston rings
Viton valve seals
complete gasket & o-ring kits + o-rings not included in kit
complete oil seal kit
heavy duty clutch springs
heavy duty clutch disks
Polished stainless bolt set
thread sealant
tube of hondabond
ZDDP additive + rotella synthetic
ZDDP assembly lube
valve lapping tools & compound
valve spring compressor
dewalt impact
3/8 torque wrench
and my trusted Honda shop bible
..well, I guess I need one more item... motor paint!

and I really want to thank PJ for helping me create this list. and locate these parts!

Re: 76 CB360, before & after

I was in no way trying to degrade your build. It was just a question I had to ask. I don't know you. But, after Barbers I will...

Re: 76 CB360, before & after

Which modifications should be made and what's the reason behind it?

PJ I scoured through the first 35 pages of your build...and found nothing about this mod. I will skim through the next 25 pages later this evening. If you find the time...plz help us find it.

Re: 76 CB360, before & after

Looks like it's to help keep the oil moving through the clutch plates.

Re: 76 CB360, engine build. one stuck bolt HELP.

OK FELLAS, With engine still in frame (for solid support) I have got every bolt I could get too broke free. EXCEPT ONE. its the lower of the two bolts , starter to case. I have been pounding it for 30 minutes 1 lb ballpeen...Heated around case w propane...pounding it for 10 minutes, 1 lb ballpeen....heat again....pound 10 more minutes, 3 lb hammer...I really hate to cut it off. AND I would hate even more to CRACK THE CASE!!! But Im giving her all shes got captain.
So as a last ditch effort...I need some good ideas.

Re: 76 CB360, before & after

Dremel to slot the head and then try the flathead attachment on the impact driver.

Re: 76 CB360, before & after

The head is still in good enough shape. I can still use Phillips in the Impact driver.
Just how hot can I get this case?
and acutally I am quite amazed I havent burnt the paint off yet. thats good stuff. cause I got the thing pretty freakin hot.
I will try channel locks, but i dont think I can get em in there very good...I will try puttin a wrench on the impact bit. If I can hold it, hit it, and apply pressure to help turn it.
Thanks guys...keep thinking. Ill be back in a few minutes to check again.

Re: 76 CB360, before & after
