Gordon frame kit is installed and tach welded into place, until I can get it finish welded. Next off to powdercoat.

I also got my tires mounted, rotors on and front forks rebuilt with Progressive springs.

Re: cb750 -Secret Ninja (new name and engine picks)

Name changed to "secret ninja"

The name change is because I was getting bored working on the bike until I heard a song from my past of racing bikes.

Engine is coming along pretty smooth. so far...

All new bearings
Barnett clutch and heavy duty springs
Tsubaki HD cam chain
Dyna ignition
powdercoated covers
polished SS bolts and re-plated NOS bolts

Powdercoated comstars with drilled rotors wrapped in new avons.

This weekend I hope to get the engine all finished up. The frame and some other small bits are off at powdercoat. Joe Knapp (powder Pro) is doing the powdercoat on my brake calipers, hope to get that bake soon.

Re: cb750 -Secret Ninja (new name and engine picks)

Looking good so far, i wish the factory had installed gordon frame kits then i wouldn't have had to re and re mine when i forgot to put the tach gear in . doh.

Thanks man. I just hope it runs as good as it looks once it it does. I have built up many top ends on Hondas to Harley's but this is my first time venturing into the bottom end and splitting a case.

Re: cb750 -Secret Ninja (new name and engine picks)

I could not fight the temptation to add a big bore kit to this build.

Now I just need to find a reputable place to bore my jugs.

Re: cb750 -Secret Ninja (new name and engine picks)

Ha! I'm not alone anymore. Good job.

ha ha, but the 09 750f kits are sold out. I am first in line for the new improved 2010 kits. 4 week wait which sucks, but hell my bike is still in pieces and I have the "gordon" frame kit so I can move forward with the build and install the jugs and heads once the new pistons show up.

Ioka, I would love to see some more pics of your bike.

Re: cb750 -Secret Ninja (new name and engine picks)

Hell ya man! you have been slaying it!!! nice... wait till you ride that CB with the bore in it... you doing the 836? I have heard that they now sell a 1050 kit! I had a CB750 that was bored over to a 836 (not by me, i got the motor on ebay ha ha ha) was insane fast! I LOVED IT, appearantly someone else did as well cause it grew legs and walked right out of my garage while i was at class never to come hoome again.
the com stars are by far my fav wheels man... just sick... loving the build, your brake parts mailed out today!

Re: cb750 -Secret Ninja (new name and engine picks)

I wish I had the funds to throw those mods on my SS. Keeping with the secret ninja theme I'd throw a cheesey $5.00 flat black paint job and some duck tape on there. It would make one hell of a sleeper.

Since Joe is involved I know the finish is gonna be hot, but it sure would be fun to shock the squids a little.

Cool. When you are finished tuning I am going to be curious to see what jets you settled on.

Re: cb750 -Secret Ninja (new name and engine picks)

Man CS, I wish I had your fab skills.

"secret ninja" came from a song that stokes me when I am building in the shop and need a kick in the ass. It is a song from my previous life racing downhill mountainbikes.

Man Joe that sucks. I am going with the 836 kit. Doesn't need to be crazy fast just fast enough to keep me happy, lol..

I still like vintage AFI but not really into the new stuff.

Currently I listen to most types of music. In the garage it is mostly Bouncing Souls, The Street Dogs, and some old Hip Hop to mix it up a bit.

Re: cb750 -Secret Ninja (new name and engine picks)

I had Joe (JRK) @ PowderPro hook up some of my 750 brake parts and I am impressed. The parts were in rough shape and he made them look great.

Completely reworked all the brakes today. Honed out the internals of the brakes and installed all new master cylinders and caliper parts. Black braided brake lines and SS pistons.

Re: cb750 -Secret Ninja (PowderPro)

Not the entire engine but the rebuilt bottom end with HD studs. Fresh powder on the frame. I am waiting on my 836 kit to show up from dynoman so I can bore the jugs and instal the top end.
