Any ideas or leads on what bike is next?
I really would like to do hard tail v-twin bobber maybe but I normally let the bike tell me. I scan CL constantly for donners and deals. I have in my mind, after the Bonnevile is done to do some type of a bike that looks like an early boardwalk bike. Big wheels and fenders, thin tires, a saddle seat and wide bars, but low and long at the same time, with a huge engine. :) I will prob change my mind ten time before I start some tho. haha

I got my seat back from the upholsterer. That word does not look right, spell check? anyway

Oh yea, got the KZ400 back together. Drove it tonight and I believe the main jets are too large, it boggs when you rev it. Gonna try to remedy that tomorrow if I can find them local. Other than that she is a peach.

Sweet, now can you help me with the 73 BMW R75/5 Build? Thanks HD

So this morning I woke with the idea of adding modern fuel injection to this build, Has anyone heard of this or done this? I was thinking of using the fakey carb injection off a new T100. I just havent done the research yet to know if this is worth the cool factor. And a cool parts update...

Ehhhh, fuel injection retrofits are cool, but tend to be expensive and finicky in my opinion. What I would do is get something like a Featherbead frame and drop the whole fuel injection powerplant from a late model Bonnie into that frame. Then you get the modern fuel injection plus the reliability of the modern motor, and all you have to do is hook up power and ground.

You might even be able to fund the purchase of the new motor by selling your current one...

New Accel wheels and stainles spokes have been added to the polished factory hubs which also received new wheel bearings.

WOW!

Wow HD, I honestly do not rem the cost but I want to say around 600-700 for rims and spokes. This project should begin to pick up speed again at this point. The guy I have doing the engine and a few other things has finished some other projects recently and moved mine into the rotation.

I am the proud owner of the KZ400 he built as a "side" project. I'll put it this way, the work he did on a "side-project" to fix/flip is better than anything I would have done on a full-on build. I can't wait to see the finished product on the Triumph.

By the way, I am thoroughly enjoying the KZ and being able to just hop on and ride!! Swapped out mains even leaner with no improvement...as long as I keep it below 6500 rpm it is just fine. New points, hot-wired the coil thinking it was ignition related with no luck. Going to check valve clearances next, or last resort, get it on a dyno for wideband mapping. Either way, a great riding bike!!
