79 CB750 LE

6 Months? Holy "K"rap! =P , was he supposed to rebuild em or something? I feel your pain K, AND i see we have similair models, right on!

Yeah man. Terrible experience. I plan on doing my build thread posthumously, but you'll see a bunch of parts collections and short jumps just like in yours. Very frustrating model. Probably the krappiest of CB's, but I believe all DOHC owners seek the challenge knowingly.

I ended up doing the forks myself like a big boy :)

Challenge it is Krap! hahaha, when its all said and done we can be that much smugger about the result =P

Still waitin on the tank to get back, i did however research battery options, one route i was persuing i ended up making a cardboard box to simulate the dimensions of the battery and it did not fit so well in my tail hump. Another option the Anti-Gravity 12-cell which is much smaller fit perfect..... Not wanting to destroy another perfectly re-usable cardboard box, i walked around my house looking for an object that proved the closest match to its measurements, the winner? 3 top ramen noodle packs stacked together, hahaha. Not that it matters, but spicy chicken looks HOT in that hump ;)

The Project died temporarily, a moment of shame for sure, but the funds diverted to my Tacoma for some love..... After summer i plan to re-ignite this bike and go full force into it again, until then i am thoroughly enjoying all the builds going on here, i promise to come back stronger and fully dedicated in the NEAR future!
