The only thing that concerns me is the size of the seating area itself. You're the only person that can judge that, though. If you've got enough room to sit there comfortably, I say it's good to go. The lines look nice!

Thanks for telling me actually, cause i saw this post and then went out to try it.. it's to small :D my fat ass won't fit.. But! I did go to the store earlier and was planning on remaking it anyways, so it's all good :D

Reinhard: Thanks man, i thought it did so too :)

Soo.. Haven't been able to do much as of lately, still waiting on a message back from another member about welding. But, been thinking hard about what's going to be painted what, some things have changed but the majority has stayed the same.

I came up with a idea for the tank

Most likely i would want a more toned down version of that, meaning less lines inside the body itself. And most likely a cooler font, i'll have to look online at some.

Some more variations done up

Personally i like the first one the most. I'm going to play around with some more monster designs.

Anyone guess the monster i got on there now?

Skag from Borderlands? I don't play too many games besides some occasional SFII.

I like #3. #2 looks too much like the energy drink logo, IMO.

STATUS UPDATE!!

Soo.. It's been a little slow with the progress lately with the start of work again. But, i did manage to send it into a local shop and have it sand blasted. I should have it painted by the end of the month, hopefully.. if not, the first week of January is my deadline. After that i should be cruising along putting it back together.

Okay, so it's been awhile.. BUT! I can make up for it.. TAADAA!!!

My Camera Pictures don't do the color justice, here's one from my cellphone that show's the color better

So she is now powder coated, and i'm going over today to have my wheels quoted for powder coating.

I also want to recommend the AWESOME company i'm using at the moment for powder coating, they did a superb job and there cheaper than the big companies!http://hellyeahcustomcoating.com/

Re: 80' GS750 - "Monster" - Updated 12/31/10 - Powder Coating

Yeah, feel bad that the progress has been so slow, and not much to update on. (plus i'm awful at making sure i document everything ;D ) Next paycheck comes in this friday, so i will get the wheels started, along with the tank.

Anyone had bad experience with vinyl being clear coated over?

Wow man. Looks great. You really went bold on the color. Can't wait to see what's next.

Re: 80' GS750 - "Monster" - Updated 12/31/10 - Powder Coating

Anyone got a spare Regulator, off a GS 750, 850 or 1000? Years 80-82? In the market for a new one..

Will post you guys on the update of the engine and the reassembly of the bike.

Re: 80' GS750 - "Monster" - Updated 12/31/10 - Powder Coating

Most people update their r/r with something from a modern sport bike. All you need is the wiring diagrams.

Re: 80' GS750 - "Monster" - Updated 12/31/10 - Powder Coating

Awesome frame/coating. Reminds me of the incredible hulk.

Really?! You can do that?? Just anything??! lol that's awesome news :D I have the wiring diagram for my bike, and i'm slowly dwindling out useless wires.

So i can just search ebay for a R/R? and slap it in? Show's you how much i know about bikes :-[

And thanks Reinhard!

Re: 80' GS750 - "Monster" - Updated 1/12/11 - Electrical work

Not just any old r/r, but I know you don't "need" one from from a GS750. I'm sure there's a couple guys on here that would have a much better idea than me. The fellas on GSResources would know for sure.

And I don't believe I mentioned it, but your frame burns my eyes. Looks good though.
