That sounds cool. I've seen you can weld almost any metal to almost any other metal else using explosives (pretty sure it doesn't work with wood though ;D )
only read about it l0ng time ago in one of those deals called a book
dont know much about the cladding process ,ie the permanent bonding of unlike metals using explosives energy/heat
but the r&d i'd be all in for that ;D  ???
something from the net

thanks yeah its cool as,its gots lots of nasty partially corroded chrome rash, wait till you see the hillicopter brackets i got to mount it 8)
i allready have a led for one socket
the fender well upon further exam it actually does follow the tire radii quite good it just looks a bit wrong cause of the shape the tapered-ness
im kinda stuck on using both SL FINDERS, front and rear and leaving them in original paint for now
i have a steel harley dyna fender that looks really good perfect fit good
what do you have ?

Sent from my iPhone using DO THE TON
yep very nice fender pretty much same shape as the harley one thanks for offering up i dont think you owe me
the sl fender keeps growing on me,i love it , i am going to tweek it slightly give it a bit tighter radii and do a mild bit of simple forming on top try to get a 2x3 area perfectly flat ,so it can bolt up sweetly to finalized gap section of the brace
the brace as it is with a 1/4'' top plate added to it just about wants to collide with the lower triple i havent got any room to spare ,see i almost cut too much off the top of the stanchions
but i still need to get the rear tire mounted ,doing that now, so i can set the bike back up level and see if i hit my mark on rake then ill measure trail see where that is
you know mark it once measure it thrice something like that
or trust but verify

hey if you are still interested in that plan i promoited for twin cam brake on xl350 fr hub, well i have all the parts here after all

hey poncho ,what cisco ? 'memnber those twins they was orientals, the lee sisters
ugh lee and hom lee
update shots ,needed to badge the unit ,used a badge of my 0wn self promotion, tigged it freehand, drunk used it to hide up some aweful busy looking fab
need more matching nuts
i missed on the rotor doh caliper hits spokes anybody need a pitbike rotor ?

lolz yesah but i am getting better each time
i was not happy with the rear caliper being so vulnurable and not happy that i did not see that i would need to space the china pitbike rotor so clapper and spokes dont make harpo like music
see i had already set it up way back when with the tecate 3 willer rotor it has a nice deep dish to it
i had tried lashing it up with a ktm late dirt model rear clapper and its mounting piece
but good god the diecast clapper carrier plate was gonna put the ugly on :-X it just looks so out of place and i was going to have to design a stout lug to weld to the swinger to stay the clapper
just couldnt do that and still come out ugly so then mounted a kawi clapper that brembo copied they are virtually identical
then i go and mount it pointing down and somebody says " thats vunerable "and they are exactly right so fuck that do it right the 4th time
and i seezed the moment for some speed holes as well
it is a "fixed clapper" so i will need some collars on each side of its delrin bushing that fits almost press tight on the axle spool
but now i gotta stringline the wheels again...i cannot remember just which spacers i finalised for the rear axle and wheel position
I HAVE FULLY EARNED THE EXTRA WORK CAUSE I DID NOT TAKE NOTES
it was over a year ago when i modfded deraked and shoved the frame around to get wheels inline same tracking line AND i had to fix the vertical as welll
ill post up some pics of my stringline technique when i get that set AGAIN
here is the clapper hangar version 4.7
