Look up "AirTech Streamlining". They sell a fibreglass one, and will ship worldwide.

Hey Von, yeah mate.. cheers... emaild them about 6 months ago.. they won't ship international for anything larger than a quarter fairing... i.e. nothing bigger than an R80 style fairing.... which means getting a dustbin from them is nigh impossible :(

Re: AWESOME BIZZARE STUFF - PREF MOTOR RELATED (or other, so long as interesting

Just have it sent to someone Stateside, and have them ship it to you. Ooorrrrrrrr... PM Beachcomber and ask if he might have a line on one in the UK. If anyone can get you one its probobly him.

I'm feeling the Hot Rod vibe tonight.. so here's a couple interesting rods... tell me what you think...?

The first one is simply just a mad salt lake racer.... KOMBI!?

UtahKombi407.jpg

... and the 2nd is a concept Volvo bucket rod.... say what? ???

wtf? does that van get its own class on the salt flats? wonder what its setup is.

I think i like the volvo bucket better than the fords i see everywhere. very nice. tire tread is a little over the top for my tastes, but fits in with the "being different" aspect of the car.

That is gorgeous! And the pipe-work is pure pornography! :D

So wish to see that in something with two wheels.... while we're talking exotic motors... any of you guys know much about boat motors? I've heard of 100hp - 4 cylinder - 4 carb - 2 stroke in-board boat motors... i was thinking that would be sick to put in a frame...

That honda motor would be great in an s2000. holy drifting batman.

who needs a 4cyl for that? Ive got a 3 cyl 1100 kawi jetski motor that puts out 120 that would be awesome. the problem is cooling and exhaust. cooling because the motor is setup to run with 70 degree coolant running through it at all times. exhaust because the coolant gets dumped into it so you have to re-plumb the whole thing. not that either of these things are impossible, but just not easy or practical. Cooling might (operative word) work with a large radiator, electric fan and evans npg+c coolant (look it up). Fabbing up the plumbing for the exhaust and coolant is beyond me though, so Ive never tried to make it happen. conversely, I would LOVE to see someone try.

The Dub bus is just a shell. I would gurantee that theres a BIG OL American motor/tranny where the rear bench seat used to be tied to a rear end by a 12" long driveshaft. Theres actually a few of them out there.

Heres the first one I had seen:

The Volvo car is a pure work of art. Not just because I LOVE Volvos (my first car was an '88 240 DL) but because it may be the most beautifully finished, completely coach built, 100% functional hot rod ever created.

yeah :) I'll pay that one... nice. and very interesting...

Also, the vans you posted are also one off coach builds. If you notice, the first one is actually a Dodge Challenger concept built by Dodge in the 70s. The second is an all fibreglass body on (probobly) a Chevy 1/2 ton pickup or van chassis.

Speaking of rad Dodge concepts, heres the 1964 Hemi Charger... I would do horrible things to wonderful people for one of these. ;)
